You are all from different worlds, so you must have different religions too. I am of The Elettari and I know my faith is not yours. I'm not asking you that.

What I want to know is this: Has there ever been a sickness that infected only the religious? Something that spread fast in some but not everyone. Made them act violent and reject their god.

What caused it? Was it cured?

Maybe cultists. But a proper clergy doesn't just slit one another's throats while they sleep.

Wouldn't that depend on who comes up with your definition of proper? Or cult? I'm not implying people like me are automatically any better, I'm just saying: things like that happen over and over with or without an excuse.

Why are you asking, anyway? Past experience?

You can't just assume these things. You don't know what they were like. I'm not stupid I know it happens. It happens a lot. But it didn't happen to these specific people until something made them.

It's no not like that I just knew of them. [ except for the part where that's a blatant lie ]

You could say nothing happens to anyone until something makes them, though. Same principle. And it takes more than just knowing that much to see it coming.

Why do you insist it was their fault? So many people don't just change all at once. What do you know anyway.

Nothing, it's true. But "past experience" might be another way of putting it.
