You are all from different worlds, so you must have different religions too. I am of The Elettari and I know my faith is not yours. I'm not asking you that.

What I want to know is this: Has there ever been a sickness that infected only the religious? Something that spread fast in some but not everyone. Made them act violent and reject their god.

What caused it? Was it cured?

What does it do?

It's a kind of microscopic life form that enters cells and reproduces, and when it does so it kills the cell it was in. So if it does that in a lot of cells, it's bound to cause damage.

And I guess the kind of damage it does depends on what cells it infects.

That's as far as my knowledge of it goes.

I never heard of anything like that. Is this something common where you're from? Has a virus really driven anyone insane?

It's a thing that happens, yeah. I mean, not all of them drive people crazy, but I think some do. Most just make you sick.

But do they work like fevers or sores? Spread to anybody I mean. Since no one who wasn't from the temples got infected.

some can travel through the air, some can only live inside people, some grow on food, or water. It depends on the virus? so if it's limited to the temples it's because something in there has something making people sick, i guess

That could be so many things though i can't think of what. Twenty temples in just the city alone. There were routes to and from all of them.

Wait no no no does spice count?

you need a doctor, not a teenager though. i mean i could help if i were there, i guess, but i can't explain this any better

Viruses might not be everywhere either so maybe that's wrong if someone wanted to kill them they'd have to at least know about it right?

i'm getting the impression there's not much of that technology in your world? that might be a problem, because people tend to develop immunity and what-not

they're certainly not everywhere. usually following some basic hygiene rules keeps most viruses out...but i don't really know what you're dealing with.

There were a lot of new ideas about using steam and things but no I guess nothing like this place. Or where you came from.

But I know. And it doesn't matter anymore not even if I were still there but. i just wantd to know

This place is really different though. Maybe that's something. War isn't as scary.
