You are all from different worlds, so you must have different religions too. I am of The Elettari and I know my faith is not yours. I'm not asking you that.

What I want to know is this: Has there ever been a sickness that infected only the religious? Something that spread fast in some but not everyone. Made them act violent and reject their god.

What caused it? Was it cured?

A curse? Or something like a virus? I've never heard such a thing, it's an interesting concept

Curse? Like magic. I never thought it could effect people on this big a scale.

well it's magic!! laws of physics and science are sort of tossed out the window =D

i studied alchemy, which isn't the same thing, but even then the lines between that and science could get blurry

I think I do get what you mean. I study a magic that works a lot like that I'm pretty sure. Things bend if you know how to push and pull!

But. Magic isn't so well known in my home. I can't picture anyone using it for something that complex. Or at least I hope not.

Not well known, but that doesn't mean someone doesn't know it, right? It's hard to say without knowing the details of what happened.

What makes you think it was a sickness, precisely? I mean, different than people who were just dissatisfied with their god and staging a revolt.

I guess so, But I can't really imagine it. I don't know a whole lot of those details myself.

Well when I say a sickness I mean some kind of insanity. They had never acted violent like that before and one moment someone would be fine and the next they just snapped.

Religions and cults are a very strange thing. People can be convinced of a lot of things that seem insane to everyone else. But I've never heard of people who get like that turning against their god. Hmm. It's a very interesting conundrum for sure
