[On the screen is a blond woman, to all appearances human and doing a not-quite-perfect job hiding the kind of resigned annoyance only seen in those for whom getting hauled across space and time is just a bothersome day at the office. She's instantly recognizable to people from a wide number of related universes—it's Susan Richards, the Invisible Woman, visible for this conversation and wearing a black-and-white version of the Fantastic Four's classic blue uniform with the distinctive "4" logo on the chest. It's been almost two days and there's no sign of her teammates, so it's time to cast a wider net.]

Hello. My name is Susan Richards. I'm going to swallow my pride and assume that doesn't mean anything to most of you. [The necessity of doing so doesn't seem to bother her, even though the idea of not being known on sight is strange. Sue laughs a little, and lets go of her irritation. The only real problem here is that her family isn't, and that's always been a self-correcting state of affairs.]

If it does, however, do me a favor and check in? Avengers, X-Men, SHIELD—I'm not picky. [Sue's already run into two people from home. Maybe there are more. She'll even take villains, if only so she can keep an eye on them.]

Everyone else, nice to meet you. Lovely weather we're having, isn't it?

I knew about Tony. [She makes a bit of a face. They're in the same apartment, and Tony Stark in any universe is not a good roommate.]

[OOC: The Four were completely uninvolved in AvX (must have been in another universe at the time), so it doesn't matter much to me if she finds out. The things that would get her are 1. Xavier's dead and Scott killed him, 2. Jean's not back, 3. Namor was one of the Five/attacked Wakanda, and 4. Ororo and T'challa are divorced and she's dating Logan what the hell 'Ro find a better rebound.]

[Nate's face has the hint of a tiny, wry smile] Different universes, and he's exactly the same.

It's good to know that there's someone else with more than just a theoretical grip on time travel around, though.

[OOC: I suspect (1) will precipitate the others coming to light because Scott and Nate and their complicated family dynamics forever]

Reed's the one who knows what he's doing. [No, Sue, he isn't.] I'm just along for the ride.

Experience is half of it, at least. I'm getting a little tired of seeing people here making wild assumptions with absolutely no clue how the timestream works, or how changing things at one time affects another time. I know I wouldn't be able to go into the math behind it, but I've been through it enough to understand the practical effects.

If we're in a part of the multiverse far enough removed from our own, the temporal physics could be vastly different. Have you noticed anything one way or another?

[Reed might be the brains of the outfit, but Sue's far from stupid.]

Nothing yet, but I've only been here a month. The only mission I've been on so far, whatever tech they're using for timeslides managed to swap everyone's bodies and conciousnesses around in transit. Not exactly encouraging.

Oh, good lord. That's just careless.

[Honestly, don't these people ever check their math?]

I know how lucky we are nobody came out one end as totally rearranged body parts. Having to teach two panicked people how to psi-shield in one day is not an experience I want to repeat.

Do you know if Tony's had a look at their equipment? He's not a theorist, but if there's a fault somewhere he should be able to find it.

No idea. I've been trying to avoid the Stark reality distortion field as much as I can.

[Sue has her problems with Tony, but he's an old friend, and this isn't even the same man.]

I'd rather have Reed, myself, but I'll talk to Tony about it when he gets back from wherever he is.

Good idea. I suspect my own experiences with this sort of tech are a little more... jury-rigged, usually. I would like to look at their timestream mapping at some point, though.

I'll start talking with the Initiative and see if I can get them to pass on their notes, at least.

[Sue has her doubts that this will work, but it's a better place to start than breaking and entering.]

Good luck with that. [He thinks you'll need it, but he trusts the Initiative about as far as he can throw them.]

I wouldn't mind having Charles around for this. Or even Emma, I suppose.

I'm not sure I could handle facing either of them right now, honestly.

[There's undercurrents of grief and anger under the sheer tiredness in his voice]

If you want a psi around, though - I'm not as strong as I used to be, but I can get by.

[She's been preoccupied with her time traveling future children and insane space gods lately.]

[There's a long, surprised pause. Because 'something' is a vast understatement, but he's used to Fate's horrible little coincidences]

I'm...going to guess you missed the Phoenix's return somehow. Or it hasn't happened for you yet.

No. Redd's still dead. Only the Phoenix Force returned.

[Does he sound a little miserable saying that? Yes he does.]

[Sue doesn't have a degree in Phoenixology, but she'd thought Jean and the Phoenix were the same thing.]

There's a place that opened recently - more of a cafe, but they have drinks too. Called NORA. Meet you there in twenty?

[Sue nods and disconnects. Her spatial sense is good, so once she finds the place on a map, she can follow the streets there easily enough, not resorting to her powers except to keep the rain off her head. She has a feeling that's going to become second nature.

When she arrives, Sue looks around for the large man everyone else is giving a wide berth.]
