I've noticed the trend towards asking our fellow transports philosophical questions on this network. While I can't say I particularly see the appeal, there is something about which I am curious of others' opinions.

Namely - how would you define a home?

If it's not something you'd wish to talk about, there's no point in answering; similarly, I don't mind answering, myself, for the curious - it's only polite when asking, after all.

( before anyone bothers with either of those points. homes aren't something he's thought about in years, really, fairly certain of the fact that he doesn't have one anymore; but after eight months or more in exsilium...he's starting to, a little bit. )

That sounds like a solid definition. [But in all honesty, this conversation puts a small weight on her. She doesn't like to feel sorry for herself, and she certainly isn't going to articulate it, but she's more than okay with letting his definition go undisputed.]

But yeah, I own a business where I'm from, and luckily I get to manage it from an office where I live. [She amends:] Some days.

( the sad thing about his definition is that it essentially means to him that he hasn't had a home since he was a very small child - though in a way, that's the point. )

That's extremely ambitious of you, managing a business from such a young age. You must work very hard.

[She didn't expect to take over the business so soon, herself. Asami smiles to herself while offering him a shrug.]

I've no doubt. Regardless, it's impressive.

I do. I was what we call a Hero in my city.

It is, though I believe it's decreased somewhat in the past year before I arrived here.

That's fortunate. Do you have some sort of special magic ability or anything?

I do have an ability, though I wouldn't call it magical.

Oh? What's that, then?

It's called the Hundred Power. When I have it activated, all of my abilities are amplified a hundredfold.

No way. So you can run a hundred times faster, punch a hundred times harder, that kind of thing. [Is her interpretation, anyway.]

Exactly like that, in fact.

That's pretty neat! I love hearing about all these different kinds of powers around here.
