video;
I've noticed the trend towards asking our fellow transports philosophical questions on this network. While I can't say I particularly see the appeal, there is something about which I am curious of others' opinions.
Namely - how would you define a home?
If it's not something you'd wish to talk about, there's no point in answering; similarly, I don't mind answering, myself, for the curious - it's only polite when asking, after all.
( before anyone bothers with either of those points. homes aren't something he's thought about in years, really, fairly certain of the fact that he doesn't have one anymore; but after eight months or more in exsilium...he's starting to, a little bit. )

( HE'S KIDDING kind of, but there is some humor in his tone. )

What, you've never considered roughing it out in the wild to try and find yourself?
No, I can't say I have.

[She smirks.]
Or have I got you all wrong?

What about you? What's home to you?

( his parents are deaaaaaad )

Oh. I live with my uncle. Or, I did, before I came here. And before that, I was with my gramma. I moved around a lot, so no place ever really felt like home until recently.

( his are mysteriously missing from the narrative )

I don't suppose I'd have gotten to where I am now if it wasn't for him challenging me.
[Wait.]
I mean, where I was before this place.

Don't worry, I wasn't in any danger of blaming him for our untimely conscription.
Yeah, that'd be pretty awkward to explain.
