I don't really like doing that announcement thing, but since I'm her roommate... Snow White's gone home! Which is good, that means she's finally back with James, who's her total love at first sight wonderful husband and she has a daughter that maybe she'll get to see now so I'm happy for her. Right, and Al left too, but that was last month. Uh... a few others, but I don't really know the full list.

It makes me curious about something else, though. What do you guys do to show you remember and care about people who you'll probably never see again in this lifetime?

Nope, didn't get a chance to get my license before. Turns out getting hooked up with one of those companies can be expensive! It's soooo dumb.

( He has her laughing, however. That mental image of him and the wall i amusing. )

Hmm I guess it would be. That's too bad. And sure I would. It's only staring at the ceiling praying for something exciting to happen that I never reschedule.

( Said with a wink, to tease him as much as he's being silly at her. )

More like a project. Sometimes I spend an entire day working on it. Back at home there was never enough time, so I'm stockpiling for later.

You should meet Caesar, I'm pretty sure he has a king's ransom's worth of that stockpiled!

Too bad it isn't worth something. I'd have a raccoon mask and a new pair of shoes right now.

[And this comment is followed by a knock at the door.]

I think you can get the raccoon mask on your own just my skipping the nap sessions, or skiing with goggles on and no sunscreen on your face!

( She smiles at the camera, disconnecting the feed and calling out without the network recording what she says on her end. )

The door's unlocked! Come on in.

( She turns her chair around to look at the door from where she is, over by the couch. She'd actually been sprawled out on it earlier, recently making the move back onto the chair. )

[The door opens, and Yosuke enters. With a cross bun! Surprise!]

I would give them up, but then if have to actually be conscious. And that gets pretty brutal with nothing to break it up, ya know?

[He kicks his shoes off and makes an energetic leap onto the sofa, holding the treat safely aloft and then presenting it to her after his cushion crushing landing, with a grand gesture.]

For you, fair lady! It's some kind of spring festival food I think. The lady at the bakery tried to tell me, but she couldn't pick a language and the translator crapped out a bunch of nonsense. They're good, though. I ate like a dozen. I still can't move.

( She finds herself laughing, tracking his movement and the energy involved with attempting to tackle the couch from behind. It feels nice to laugh right now; she's thankful he's making it even easier than usual. )

Yeah, I can see you're absolutely glued to the floor!

( She plucks it out of his hands with a grin, examining it with an exaggerated air. With a wink, she asks: )

You didn't lick this one or anything, did you? Drop it on the ground? Find out it was a flavor you couldn't stand?

Cross my heart.

[He replies, though he also crosses his fingers, just to get her goat. Instigating is something he's good at, and so much the better if it distracts her from her troubles for a bit.]

I had to stack supplies all morning for these ya know. And the whole time I was just hoping someone would save me from eating the full box. You got here just in time, really.

Glad to be of service! I'd hate to leave a friend in a terrible bind like that.

( Still grinning, she brings the treat up to her mouth, pausing again to narrow her eyes at him and pointedly look at his crossed fingers.

Then she bites slowly, and deliberately, into the bun. )

Mmm!

( Slow. Deliberate. Chewing. NOT GONNA TROLL HER OUT OF THIS ONE, YOSUKE. Her eyes have their own mischievousness to be found in them, from the way they crinkle to the implication of the smile she's not wearing as she chews.

Then swallows. )

Delicious!

( Peering into the bun, she tries to figure out what's inside. Hopefully nothing that ends up being cat.

Man, cats around this town. )

Where did you say this place was again?

Not far. I can show you sometime.

[Luckily, it seems to mostly be sugared fruits and sweet bread. Cavities are more likely than cats.]

( When you realize you've been eating cat for the last few months anyway... Collette grins. )

That'd be great. I can show you this one place I love, too. Did you want anything to drink? I've got water and orange j... I have water and apple juice. The last guest I have tried to bathe himself in the orange juice, so we don't have any left. Sorry!

He left me the shirt to wash. Without telling me! At least he cleaned up the rest of the spill... I think.

( God, he keeps making her laugh! )

My roommate. He's a nice guy, but uh. He shouldn't be left alone with anything he can hurt himself with, ya know?

He's one of the clumsy sorts, huh ? Poor guy! They're fun to watch every so often. Like you can't believe how things fail to work for them so spectacularly1

( She giggles. )

You don't say! That's kind of mean there, Yosuke. I bet he's got his strong points!

[If he's ashamed of himself it sure doesn't show. Though he does relent a bit at that prompt.]

Yeah, sure. He's a nice guy. He never takes my stuff without asking. And he doesn't want to kill me horribly like some other people.

...But he's still really dumb.
