I don't suppose anyone remembers, but back in December I came across an old synagogue here. I've spoken to the citizens here who use it for shelter every now and then and they also thought it would be a good idea to help clean and fix it up. I'm no contractor and I can't offer anything in return unfortunately... I've only noticed a lot of people asking if there's something to do around here.

If you're interested, I figured helping out the people here would be one small step forward. Someone's got to eventually help with some of these buildings, hm? I also imagine there's got to be a few people who know a thing or two about repairing interiors. I noticed there was talk of building a greenhouse a few days ago.

[ A lengthy pause. ]

And a question since most on the network apparently enjoy them: do you think there's such thing as too much information? [ It's been on her mind for a couple of weeks now. ]

Ugh. Yeah. Lack of sunshine means lack of vitamin D. You know how some people get moodier in the winter?

[hostage]

Yeah?

[He actually... didn't know that, coming from the land of 350 days of sunshine.]

By sleeping all day... being a Bat is hard work, okay. ]

Yeah. I don't hate winter, but snow, ice, and grey skies for even three months gets boring.

I wonder if this place even gets a summer.

Guess we'll find out if we get spring first. Twenty-first this month.

Yeah, that soon? Wow.

[ Her birthday, too. ]

Yeah.

Oh, I really should mention-- about the synagogue? You might see a kid and a wolf in there. Don't scare them or anything.

Ah, yeah. I think I know the kid you're talking about.

[gevurah]

Cat, right?

Yeah.

She told me she'd been staying there. [ She doesn't like the fact that she is, though. ] But the last thing I want is the wolf attacking someone.

[hostage]

I'm good with animals. And I won't bug her, anyway.

[gevurah]

Even wolves?

[hostage]

I been around plenty of coyotes and they never bothered me once.

[gevurah]

I don't think I've ever heard on the news about a coyote attack anywhere. [ Maybe they're one of those animals people have misconceptions about. ] I live in a city, so we don't get animals like that within city limits.

[hostage]

I used to camp a lot out in the desert. It's kinda like they won't bother you if you don't bother them. Sometimes they attack a human but it's usually like they felt threatened.

Most animals are like that, yeah?
