[The device is easy enough to use. It's not unlike the stuff from back home, so it doesn't take her long to get comfortable with it. The post goes up without a hitch.

She'd easily prefer video--this feels a little impersonal, but it's better this way for now. She's still not quite well.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Flora. I'm really very sorry if this message isn't...well, it's normally supposed to be, I guess. I'm a little out of it. I can't say I've had to make introductions like this before, but it's nice to meet you, nonetheless. :) This is still just a lot to take in, and what's happened to the Earth itself. I still can't believe it. This planet was once so beautiful.

I don't expect much, but there's no harm in asking. If anyone's heard of or met one of the Winx, would you please let me know? I would very much appreciate it.

Lastly, I have a question for anyone willing to answer it. Thank you, in advance.

Do you believe in fairies?
misplacedxsheath: (What a waste.)

He's not amused, but who cares about that? Also, mind if I add you on Plurk/AIM?

Waves from an artifact known as the Zohar. They seem to go out of their way to target sentient creatures, as well.
misplacedxsheath: (Who thought that was a good idea?)

He's amused by things! Just...mainly his enemies' humiliation.

That's something we don't know. The Zohar is an ancient relic of unlimited energy, long thought to be a relic of God, but our understanding of the Gnosis' motivations is limited.
misplacedxsheath: (It was all for nothing.)

STFU, he just likes watching his opponents lose. Also, topic approaching the sensitive XD

I thought along similar lines myself once, such a device under our complete control would have more uses than any single man could imagine. But failure comes at the cost of entire planets, something I'm no longer willing to pay.

It is a pity. One of the uses I had in mind for it was to potentially eradicate the Gnosis. At that point, what they want would have been a moot point.
misplacedxsheath: (It was all for nothing.)

True. Post-death means he has a lot of sensitive spots, especially concerning the Zohar.

If they were just uninhabited slabs of rock, I wouldn't be concerned. But there are no planets capable of supporting life for long enough to prepare for and run an experiment with the Zohar that have yet to be settled.
misplacedxsheath: (I take full responsibility for my action)

No, Wilhelm is a 'let me stab him' subject :D (Ewwww, that sucks.)

You would be surprised how easy it is to perform acts of cruelty when you're convinced that your actions serve God's will.
misplacedxsheath: (It was all for nothing.)

Yeah he wouldn't stand a chance. (And my net gave me trouble replying last time...)

It was considered to be an acceptable loss in the name of the greater good. Our goals were supposedly noble enough to easily justify the sacrifice of a fragment of the universe's population along the way.

I was an arrogant fool who only concerned himself with the end goal. So long as the loss didn't threaten that, it didn't matter.
misplacedxsheath: (What a waste.)

You can ask whatever you want. Whether or not I answer will depend on the question.

I learned the truth. That my faith and that of my people and predecessors had been used to manipulate us into acting for a goal entirely separate from what we believed.

With the knowledge that I had been misled, I was able to look back on my past actions with clarity and the ability to recognize my own mistakes. I could see what I had wilfully blinded myself to when I believed my mission to be of divine will.
