I realize that there has been no shortage of apologies share since the rather unfortunate...disruptions of time. Nonetheless, I feel obliged to offer my own, along with an explanation. I was born as Artanis and for a great many years that is what I was called. There was no deceit intended in any recent introductions, I assure you. It has been long since I have been called by that name, however. Most now know me as the Lady Galadriel and I would prefer to be addressed as such. I regret any confusion this may have caused.

[ Perhaps Gwen looks quite alarmed. To have Ygritte help her train is one thing, the girl is sweet and she sews her clothes in return. But she - she is a queen, surely and Gwen feels humbled even being addressed by someone so lovely.

[Galadriel just smiles softly in return; it doesn't surprise her, really, that she should have this effect on the girl, though it certainly wasn't her intention.]

It is not so great a trouble. I suspect, however, that you may profit far more from a tutor whose experience is more recent than my own. But the choice is yours; once I have given my word, I will not withdraw it. [Gwen, you deal with Arthur all the time. You should recognize this stubbornly honorable thing.]

[It's both embarrassing and painful to think about the last two weeks. She's tried to avoid everyone she had come into contact with, especially people from her home. It's partially her pride, obviously, but also simple courtesy. She doesn't want to be weak when others rely on her and look to her for someone strong.

Yes, it was. [Was she really so unrecognizable in her youth? Probably, She may not have changed much physically, but she carried herself so differently- more humble where she had been haughty, careful where she had been brash, tired where she had been eager. And she was a little sadder- a little wiser too, she likes to think.] As I said, no deceit was intended.

"Galadriel" is a name bestowed upon me by the man who would become my husband. I kept it because it pleases and honors me. It is as simple as that.
