The dragons that I have met here thus far have shown themselves to be of no little threat to transports or natives and indeed have proven quite helpful.

I am not familiar with the dragons in question, but the device appears to tend towards retrieving in groups--thus thou wilt find a number of people who know each other or are of the same world. 'Tis not surprising to have a group of dragons.
