[video] backdated just a biiiiit
[+1 to the late-to-the-event party but THAT'S OKAY this blonde teenaged militarily-dressed lady doesn't have much to say, but it is undoubtedly important. In fact, how this important factoid seems to have slipped by everyone's minds seems to utterly boggle her.]
I'll make this quick since I wouldn't want anyone to waste my time.
[Yes all this... time-travel business was jarring and important but this is unacceptable. She crosses her arms.]
Why are there so many dragons here?

[Yes all this... time-travel business was jarring and important but this is unacceptable. She crosses her arms.]
Why are there so many dragons here?

Maybe I will.
[Yeah that is some vindicated teenaged tone going on there.]
Why choose a creature like that instead of any other?
The ones you may find here are far more civil and reasonable than you might think. After all you are speaking with one right now.
[He seems none too bothered by her tone, merely crossing his arms as he regards her calmly
As to why it might choose those such as us, we are in general, highly intelligent and both physically and magically powerful.

I honestly hope I don't come across any personally.
[She lowers her head, stare still fixated on him darkly. He was being awfully polite and well-mannered, unlike anything she'd ever associate with a dragon or dragon-like creature. This conflict makes her uncomfortable.]
And it just happened by chance to also pick ones that aren't capable of violence and destruction?
no subject
[He matches her dark stare with a calm unfazed gaze of his own, regarding her thoughtfully.]
Far from it,any being, especially those of draconic persuasion are capable of violence and destruction. That does not mean however that we are want to unleash such violence on innocents, no, I and many others would only unleash measure upon those who would seek to harm others.
no subject
You... protect people?
[And he doesn't like using violence and destruction on innocents? The disbelief is all too easy to hear in her voice but the way she lingers on the screen suggests that just maybe, just maybe, she wants to believe his words]
no subject
I do.
The citizens of Sanction, my city, could attest to this better than most for over fourty years I have protected Sanction and its citizens from many who would seek to harm them be they pirates, volcanos, invading armies or those dragons who would seek to harm or take Sanction for their own.
[There is a clear sense of pride when he speaks of Sanctio not for himself though, but for his city, his people.]
no subject
...how many are left? Of Sanction? Are any here?
no subject
At her comment though he raises an eyebrow at her question though before speaking. Though still clearly quite proud when he speaks of the people of Sanction. ]
If you refer to the people of Sanction, over fifteen thousand call the lord city their home, hailing from many different cultures, species and places.
None from Sanction are here have yet been brought here to my knowledge, although there are others from my world, one of whom knows of me and my work with Sanction.
