[ So here's Jesse and Collette, grinning stupidly at the camera and looking like they've got a plan up their sleeves. Jesse's the first to speak, rubbing his hands together excitedly: ]

Okay, so like... I heard there's superheroes here. Like real, bona fide superheroes. Costumes and everything. And, like, where I come from, you know, we don’t really got superheroes except in stories. So we were thinking it'd be real cool...

[ Collette glances at Jesse, then to the camera. She blurts out something that surely will never ever cause immense embarrassment once she learns the extent of the super heroes she's been around (discounting Barnaby and Kotetsu, who are weird anyway): ]

... If we could meet a few of you in person, and maybe even get an autograph!

Eh, same thing they all do. He's ex-Marine, so he's kinda more tough, badass than your average mutant-type or alien superhero. And the loner thing's usually not on purpose. It's, um... like everybody he knew is dead, so... Yeah, a lotta the stories go like that.

If everyone you know is dead, sounds about the right time to remember and... get to know some not so dead people. If you ask me.

( Collette sounds meditative, offering a smile at the end like it makes her statement seem flippant or teasing, when it's really neither. )

Yeah, these guys got issues, yo. I'm more into like the classic hero, you know?

Superman, Spider-man, Green Lantern...

( She nods, at least getting one of those names. )

Spider-man's pretty great. Who's the Green Lantern?

Basically he's got this ring he got from some aliens that gives him superpowers.

[whatsupcroc]

( She snorts. )

The aliens did mean to give it to him, right?

[tweaker]

Yeah! They tracked him down, like, um... They were looking for somebody "utterly honest and born without fear", and the ring led 'em to him.

Utterly honest? Must be a tough guy to know.
