[As background noise to Lilith's frantic chattering, there's the loud revving of what seems to be a very large chainsaw. The fact that she's either running or getting out of breath is also clear in her voice.

Truth be told, she's chasing after something. And on her first day here. Impressive business, Lilith.]

Hey! Hey, I uh, I kind of need some help here. I'm new to this place and I got that sentient weapon and everything and I picked out this really badass one I mean, it is totally swank. It's probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of shit.

Oh, but anyway, I revved it up and it's got a helluva lot more kick to it than I thought it would and it kind of got away from me. It's also pretty sharp. I mean, it cut up this lamp post-looking thing pretty quickly and now it's just sort of flailing around ruining the ground even more. I tried shooting at it but I think that just made it angrier or something. I tried apologizing and told it that it needs to stop, but it's not really doing that and I can't really grab it I mean I'm pretty sure if it's pissed it'll just cut my freakin' hand off and I sort of like my hands.

So uh, can anyone give me a hand here?

[There's a pause.]

I don't mean actually giving me your hand, I meant help.

[Lilith sounds just a little bit desperate. Just a little.]

Yeah. Yeah I guess I do. I mean, at least this place doesn't look that much worse.

[She just sighs.]

_{( Not that she can see it, but he actually blinks at that. Not quite what he was expecting. His voice, however, betrays none of that surprise. )}

I'm not really in the habit of turnin' down ladies askin' for assistance. So if y'know where it is, I can see what there's to be done.

[And that turns Lilith off to the idea of getting help. Her voice turns sour, no longer desperate but tinged with annoyance.]

I'm not just some "lady askin' for assistance. [She half-realizes how stupid that probably sounds coming out of her mouth. Now she just sounds frustrated, probably with herself.]

[ Things Sayaka did not expect to see on her way to training: this. Her sword instinctively materializes into her hand, and she gives Lilith (the only person crazy enough to get anywhere near the action, and therefore the apparent owner) a what the hell look. ]

Can't you stop that thing?

[Well, at least it's slowed down. It's kind of just a spinning, flailing thing on the ground, making deep cuts that send it flying to another spot when it catches on them. Lilith is standing close by, following it whenever it moves, making partial grabs at it before pulling her arm back.]

I'd have done that by now if I could, don'tcha think? I mean, it'll stop on its own eventually, right?

Probably, but...

[ However unlikely, the movement has her worried about some passerby getting caught in the crossfire. Nobody should be crazy enough to get that close, but given what she's already seen — better not to take any chances. ]

It's okay if I try, right?

[Sayaka seems trustworthy enough. She has a sword, too, so that probably means she knows how to use them, right? Lilith gives a shrug of her shoulders.]

Yeah, go for it. Don't hurt yourself.

[fortissimos]

[ Juuuust not going to comment on that 'don't hurt yourself' bit, because her idea of stopping the thing involves walking right up and grabbing whatever bit she can. There's... some blood before she can get it under control, but whatever damage it caused vanishes a moment later, and her only reaction to what should be pain is a frown. ]

... Here. [ She offers the sword. ] What the heck happened, anyway?

[Her body is a weapons-rack, so she could take care of this in an instant, but she sounds as if she's in no particular rush.]
