07 △ VIDEO backdated to whenever critters go batshit
So I take it this isn't exactly unusual.
[ And if you wanna know what Adam means with 'this' ... well, the video opens with a closeup of a rabbit, snarling and squirming and hanging off an arm it has bitten into and just won't let go. The person that arm belongs to doesn't sound too bothered, probably because that arm is made of solid, black metal that's not at all sensitive to pain. ]
I was assuming rabies at first, but it seems like the surprise has been spoilt already. I really liked this thing for the whole two hours I had it, but of course we can't go one week without reenacting some trite action flick cliché. Whatever.
[ Yeah, it's still fighting with Adam's augmented arm. Something like a sigh can be heard, and then the sound of a blade being unsheathed (?) before the video cuts out for a minute, black screen, no audio.
When it comes back on, the rabbit's gone. Though the observant watcher might spot a drop of blood or two on one of Adam's arms, because he's now only broadcasting himself. ]
Speaking of action flick clichés, has anyone seen James Bond lately. [ ... ] The guy from Universal Exports that should be around here somewhere, being generally useless. Not the secret agent one that got his balls whipped.
[ IF THAT DOESN'T DRAW YOU OUT JAMES ADAM GIVES UP....... anyway, there's a private text message attached to this post, too. It goes out to Samus, Edgeworth, and Barnaby, and it's pretty much unhackable unless you're really awesome at hacking. ]
I know who shot Takegami. Given it was an emotional act and that it happened over literally nothing, you might want to keep a close eye a girl called Ionae. I'm not sure if the evidence I have is solid enough to apprehend her.
[ The next bit is also private but to Samus only ... ]
Hey.
[ Eloquent. ]

[And they don't even have the decency of having headcrabs attached to them.]
How many d'you figure there are out there?
[ Which might not even happen given Adam beheaded it. Like you usually do in zombie movies. ]
And I don't know. I'm less worried about the critters and more about the people keeping them. You know, if this goes like it does in the movies, we might have a problem.

Someone mentioned a cure, but we might not be able to rely on that. Magic or not, there's only so much of it...
no subject
And it won't solve the problem unless we find what's causing this. I was thinking it might be another UE attack, but I've heard it's more likely to be coming from a transport.

[ His voice is dry and obviously unimpressed.
there's some snarling in the background, distantly. He's probably running tests. ]
voice
[ And Adam sure hopes people haven't been dumb enough to let themselves get bitten. ]
Could be their new bioweapon and we're all about to die.
voice
There's a squeal that is abruptly and violently cut off with a small splatter in the background. ]
I doubt it's a bioweapon. Biting is an inefficient way to spread disease. If it was a bioweapon, infecting the water supply would be a much better method.
voice
They prefer it to be at least somewhat bloody and gruesome. Have you been here long?

[Guess who's gotten very comfortable in her suit again the moment this zombie business made itself apparent.]
I haven't seen James either. You think that guy would thrive on the attention if he were actually here. I don't... think he is anymore.
[She's not sure she feels too terribly bad about that but...]
Re: Takegami, good to know. How'd you come across that info?
...Also hey.
[Yeah, real eloquent.]
text; private
And ugh, he suspected that about James. He actually liked that fucker, damn it. NOT LIKE HE'D EVER ADMIT. ]
I overheard a conversation where she asked him why he didn't accuse her. Didn't sound like they were on good terms. Like I said, I don't know if that's enough.
[ Oh and let's not forget how he came by that info... ]
Are you still wet and coldI know it's probably not the best time to ask and terribly unsexy, but when--if--this blows over maybe you could drop byI'd like to pick up where we left off sometime. Not sure how often you hear this because of your suit but you're smoking hot. Makes it hard to remember manners and decency.
[ in other words this is all your fault samus.
and he has no idea how to hit on her right now so he eventually settled for the most blunt approach. ]
Re: text; private
These animals running around are unfortunately a more imminent threat, I'd rather take care of that first.
[...Yeah this isn't the best time. And yeah it's pretty unsexy. As it is he's straddling a fine line between being blunt and crass and if the attraction wasn't mutual she'd definitely stick him with an ice burn for that because w o w.]
Yeah, you left a lot your manners and decency back in those fountains. This suit isn't coming off again until this place stops being a zoo.
...I'm sure I could use a decent shower after this, though.

He just has the worst luck. ]
I left my manners right in the same place where that son of a bitch left me to die. I don't really care what you think, but don't play me for a fool, cause I'm really tired of that shit.
[ yeah he was patient once. he's not gonna have you dangle a carrot in front of his face forever sammy. AHEM ]
You really like my shower don't you. Something wrong with the one you have over there or do you just enjoy the thought of me sitting in the living room at the same time, forcing myself to behave like such a good boy.

Everyone seems very familiar with the concept of the undead. On Gaia they were very rare and not...[She isn't certain how to quantify it.] Is this really so normal everywhere else?
I wouldn't know. I can't say it's A Thing back where I'm from, but devastating zombie outbreaks are a common movie trope where I'm from.
Hmm. There weren't any films like that in Midgar. And many people from other worlds seem...familiar.
What's fiction for me might be reality for them. Then again, pretty much everything that's happening here is movie material where I'm from.

What's a zombie?
video;
[ Just stab it and be done with it, much simpler. ]
... Zombies. The undead. Living, rotting corpses. Awful stench.

What happens to people who are bitten by the things?
