For those of you who may have noticed the petting zoo that's shown up in the courtyard overnight, a word of caution:

In a city which is not overflowing in pet stores, when something claims to be offering animals for adoption with no one checking for owner suitability, and all of the animals offered coming from local wildlife, you should probably think three times before even touching what's penned up out there.

Wild animals are meant to be wild. Acting as tame as they are with no keepers in evidence is suspicious when any keeper who spends the time necessary to properly socialize an animal to be okay with the loud, strange ways people move should be putting potential adopters through the grinder.

After training them or sedating them in decent numbers? What would be the purpose?

That's the least effective way to approach any given situation, true as it is.

Be more proactive. But people will do what they always intended to do, regardless. So in this case, be ready to react when things start falling apart.

With whatever measures become necessary.

Wild animals acting tame? Illness, probable quarantine. Nothing too world-altering.

Then wouldn't a proactive approach be to quarantine them now before they start showing symptoms of illness?

Yes. Would you like to be in charge of wrestling away rabbits and squirrels from the people who've already taken them home?

I don't believe it should be done by force.

It doesn't have to be, though that's not much of an answer.

The use of the word 'wrestling' seemed to imply such. Perhaps making some sort of announcement with regards to quarantine could prove useful.

I've made my suggestion in warning people here. I'll forward the idea to the Initiative.

( She doesn't have that inherent faith in people to think that here, of all places, they'll think intelligently about what this could mean. The Initiative has greater resources.
