( the video feed clicks on to display a very clear shot of the gigantic kogarasumaru team emblem carefully drawn across one of the walls in his room. you know because fuck the opinions of his roommates, he's a god and gods do what they want.

it's accompanied by one hand smacking hard against the emblem on the wall before ikki comes stepping into view. as soon as he's fully on camera, his hand closes into a fist, pointer finger jutted outward and it's aimed right at whatever audience he's got watching this. )

Listen up, listen up all you wretched fools! This is a public service announcement! If you'll check out the wall behind me, you'll see a majestic looking emblem! That's mine! It belongs to me and me alone! It's the great mark of Kogarasumaru! If you encounter anyone wearing this, they belong to me! Same damn rule for places and objects too!

Everything bearing this grand mark belongs to the great and awesome Sky King! THE ONE AND ONLY MINAMI IKKI!

( there's a pause then, followed by a quiet sigh. )

But if you catch one of my worthless underlings running around lost, report 'em back to me and I'll reward you handsomely—

( he taps a finger against his chin, almost pondering. )

It was doing something weird before, is it magic or something?

That's right. This is what we call a Metal Vessel. With this, I can call the power of my Djinn, Vinea. Um... I will have to ask you to stand back.

[ And when he does, the hairpin transforms into something like a sword. It's as tall as her! ]

With Metal Vessels, we non-magicians can use one type of magic like this, but you can't get Metal Vessels anywhere. You have to capture a dungeon! Dungeons can be found all over the world, but few make it out alive, you know?

( he steps back just as she asks,eager to see what she's got for him. and it's MUCH MORE awesome than he thought. what the hell!! )

Wha—Whoaa!! What the fuck!! You captured a dungeon?

( and suddenly your personal space is being completely invaded as he looks her over, picking her hair, her sleeves and poking at her elbows. )

Come on, come ooon! How are you holding that up?

It's not- [ don't do that, she's shy. kougyoku's gonna shrink and step back when he starts getting too close. ] My djinn gives me power, and I've trained a little.

[ A LOT. ]

U-um, anyway... The imperial court's Magi has recognized me as a King Candidate...

Djinn? King Candidate?

( no way, no way. he's parting her hair on the side a little as if it would allow him the chance to look right inside of her head. personal space has been utterly destroyed here. )

That sounds awesome! Is the magic in here too? ( he asks just as he taps a finger against her head. that's how it works right? )

[ all barriers have been broken, even the imaginary ones. kougyoku puts her hand on her forehead and turns the brightest shade of red. ]

Magic doesn't come from there, silly! [ She turns her sword back into a hairpin. ] I'm not a magician, so this metal vessel is what gives me the power to manipulate water.

Anyway... that's only half of what I want to say. [ and she bites her lip, since this part is what she's hesitant to tell him. ] Listen, okay? Not everyone can clear dungeons, acquire djinn or become King Candidates. Since we will be working together, I have to be honest with you. I am a warrior and the Eighth Imperial Princess of the Kou Empire, Kougyoku Ren. You have to promise not to tell anyone about this.

( his assault halts as soon as she starts talking again, removing his hands from her person as he takes one step back. it's not a lot of space, but it's enough to say that he isn't going to start trying to peer into her brain again.

he's silent for the moment that it takes her to voice her confession, looking at her carefully. )

( he can't help but laugh at that. so, she's a princess! not bad! didn't mean she was even close to his level though. )

I gotta break a secret to you too: I'm always right! I've also got an amazing eye for team-mates.

I won't spill your secret, okay?

( he extends a hand out to her then with the expectation of a handshake, which is an incredibly great honour that he apparently only extends to other royalty. true royalty that is! then, he smiles. )

[ every handshake is special to kougyoku, just saying. she's incredibly happy that he didn't even bat an eyelash at what she told him, which is an A+ in her book. the princess smiles brightly and shakes ikki's hand with much enthusiasm. ]
