[ it opens with the sound of walking, the creak of a door opening followed by hard soled shoes on an old wooden floor. there's a creak of a lid opening, and then the scrape of a chair across the floor. There's a pause without sound and then there is a song. After it's done, Takegami plays a couple simple scales and then sighs. ]

That was an interesting interlude. Do try better next time, mm? I think I lasted a good two minutes laying in that alley. Mind, I am still pissed about my jacket. Do you know hard it is to find a good leather coat in this place? Blood does not come out of leather, never mind the holes. People and their guns. How messy.

[ yeah, he does not care about dying. in fact, he finds it a little funny. ]

[A smirk.] So it seems that she didn't have that much problem with names.

No. She just seemed to have problems with understanding that there are always exceptions to the rules.

Not all people are scared of dying. Not all people will run when a gun is brandished. Not all people will be ignorant and foolish.

If she doesn't know that then she really does have a lot to learn.

She does indeed. Now I must figure out if I should let her stew in some fear of her own making, or if I should do something in response.

[ He moves a little stiffly from the piano and pulls out a bottle of alcohol from a small hidden spot in the wall. ]

[She eyes him curiously, surprised by the sudden change to his body language.] Do something in response?

[ He is a little sore, something that likes to remind him every once and a while. He pours himself a stiff shot and inclines the bottle towards her in offer. ]

As in should I kill her in return and see what her mind thinks when she comes to life?

[She shakes her head, refusing the bottle. She doesn't drink alcohol. And she doesn't any physical pain to distract herself from, contrarily to him.]

Doesn't sound like the most brilliant idea ever to me. Not by far.

...Your body still hurts, doesn't it?

[ He sets the bottle down and picks up his glass, downing the shot with a slight grimace from the burn. ]

It does seem like a foolish idea, however, I sometimes think that she needs to know what death is since she is so scared of it.

Some residue bruising. Most of the damage is gone but I did not want to lay there any longer than necessary. They were looking into new ideas for a chip.

Not sure the experience will really reassure her.

Then it probably was a good idea. [She pauses a bit before adding.] I could heal the bruises, if you want. Unless you don't mind the pain.

It would probably send her into fits of apocalyptic horror.

I do not mind pain, but the stiffness I do mind. I rely on my ability to move to keep me out of some trouble. So... if you wish to finish the healing, I would be grateful.

Probably. ...Besides provided she stays here long enough, she'll probably get killed one day or another. With or without your help. [Raven believes in karma. To some extent.]

[She nods and walks to him.] Show me where the bruised areas are.

Then I think just letting her stew in thoughts of what I may do to her is good enough.

[ for a response, he just casually strips off his shirt. there's bruising on his upper chest, some of it a faded yellow and green but darkening to purple where the impressions from the two bullets left behind. ]

[She nods at what he says and then blushes as she suddenly finds herself facing a very shirtless Teijirou Takegami. But she refrains from averting her gaze and focuses on the bruising.

Her fingers brush against his chest, and immediately he'd feel the physical pain subside as it passes from his body on to hers.]

Those are not serious but they do not suit your complexion at all. Just give me a minute.

[ he has no qualms about stripping; there is a quirk to his lips from her reactions but no maliciousness to it. he sometimes forget that she is still young and may not be as use to seeing men do such things.

his skin was warm and the muscles jumped a little under her touch. he sighed as the pain left, frowning a little at her comment. ]

If you are sure.

[Well truth be told her blush had both been caused by the bluntness of his gesture and by the fact that he does have a sexy body. And it's the first time she thinks of him that way, as an attractive man.

She nods.] I'm sure. Besides if I don't complete the healing, the pain will come back after a while.

[A soft white-bluish blow appears under her palm. And all the bruises progressively vanish as Raven's magic helps the blood resorb.]

[ The way he had shaped his body was just as much of a weapon as was his rings. Takegami thought about it for a moment and then shrugged; she would know best about her own powers after all. ]

I see. I did not know that is also a part of the healing that you do.

[The glow subsides from under her palm as soon as the healing is complete.] Done.

What part do you mean?

That you must complete it in order to make sure it stays fully healed.

[ He nods and tests it by bending over backwards until he can grabbed his ankles with his hands. Yes, he is that flexible too. He let goes and nods as he straightens. ]

Ah, much better. Thank you.

[She shakes her head.] That's not exactly how it works. For me healing someone and alleviating their pain are two different things. Whatever I heal with remain healed even if the healing ain't completed. The pain however is a different matter. I can prevent you from feeling any pain without actually healing you. If I do just that and leave the injury has it is, the pain will return after a while.

[She smirks slightly.] No need to show off like this.

Ah, that sounds a bit different than what I thought.

[ He laughs and pulls his shirt back on. ]

Ah, but I enjoy showing off.

[Her smirk widens at his admission.] Or so I noticed.

In another life, I must have been an actor or a showman the amount of fun I get from it.

Possibly.

Or you're just aware of the fact that you have an attractive body. [There, she said it.]
