[ A green-haired boy can be seen pouncing around on all fours. He pounces closer to sniff the screen then pounces back like a wary dog. He repeatedly beats his chest with his fists. ]

[ He slams his fists onto the floor, resolute. ]

Bun lady say glowy box show Gau friends! Show Gau friends! [ He howls. ] Gau friends lost! Glowy box show Gau friends again! We fight together! Show! Gau! Friends! Now! Wauuuu!!!

[ He waves his arms in the air. He beats his chest. He slaps the ground. He hops around the communicator a couple of times before stopping at the sound of his stomach grumbling. ]

Or food. [ He crouches. ] Glowy box show Gau food, then friends. Okay?

[ Shaking his head and talking as if Maya was the one who didn't understand. ]

[ And so she might spot Gau waving his communicator over his head wildly, and following anyone who smells vaguely delicious for at least five steps. ]

[He might smell her first, she has junk food bags carefully tucked under her arm as she searches the place and keeps getting distracted from her search for him to look longingly down at it. Maybe she should just eat hers now and she can find him on a full stomach...]

[....Yeah, that sounds good!]

[ He does smell her-- food. He can't smell people over the network, after all. He sees the person carrying the bags filled with food and puts two and two together. This must be Maya and she was carrying burgers! And boy do those burgers smell delicious, whatever they were.

He silently trails after her, waiting for her to drop her guard. And when she does, because he believes that she has to, he will strike. ]

[If by 'lower her guard' you mean 'start eating right then and there', yep, because at some point she just gets tired of looking for him and starts unwrapping one of the burgers to sink her teeth into it.... Ah...]

GAU!

[ That was definitely his cue. He pounces at her, and if she drops that burger then it's his. ]

[Yep, definitely dropping it. Also startling, jumping a foot into the air, and screaming loudly]

AAAAH!

[ Diving for it and catching it in his mouth.

BURGER GET! ]

[And she's clutching her bag of them protectively to her chest and jumping back, staring at him warily]
