[The video feed showed a young woman in a rather odd dress. And there was something else odd about her, other than her strange taste in hats - she was currently sitting on what seemed to be a floating rock. ]

This thing working? Good, good. I suppose these earth-crawling humans CAN do things the kappa can't.

Introductions are in order, aren't they? I'm Tenshi Hinanai - you probably won't have heard of me until now, but you probably soon will. Looks like the fools running this place recruited me, without even asking me.

[Strangely, she did not seem perturbed – she seemed rather cheerful about it, actually, the tone of her voice was similar to someone who just got an adorable kitten as a gift. ]

During some sort of attack, no less, it seems. That won’t make me suspicious at all now will it? [She gave a short, amused chuckle] Well, things being as they are, I’m sure you’ll be happy to share information with me. Like, for example, how those enemy weirdos fight and what you did so far to fight them.

[It was easier for her to just take technology of this kind as magic, since sufficiently advanced technology wasn't distinguishable from magic, and so on.]

Well we tried stabbing them and setting them on fire but neither were really very effective.

Have you tried covering them in rocks, or shooting at them with things? That gotta work.

Come on, I thought you humans were supposed to be a clever bunch.

I don't use guns and if setting them on fire didn't work what makes you think a bullet will anyway?

I wasn't talking about guns, I meant magical ones, obviously. They usually work even when other things don't.

And yes, I'm not human, of course. I'm a celestial - I think you earth-crawling humans would call that an angel or a tennin, depending on where you're from.

Their suits were extra durable and their numbers would mean that the ones not crushed would probably be able to figure a way around further attacks like that.

I sort of deal with stuff like that on a regular basis. Adding the idea of angels isn't too much of a stretch really.

Oh, so they learn quite well? Interesting, thanks for mentioning that one.

As for the other - what kind of stuff did you deal with? Like, people stealing the moon or threatening entire provinces with earthquakes?

[Tenshi said the last two things as if they were entirely reasonable things that could happen. She sure seemed to consider them as such.]

They fight as one unit, as if with one mind. They move with purpose and no hesitation and by adapting to what is tried against them. They are the same and thus meant to bring fear to all that oppose them.

Really? Interesting! Maybe they ARE one being. I once fought a oni that could turn into lots of smaller versions of themselves, all acting seperately, maybe it's like that.
Sounds like you do have pretty interesting foes here, that's good.

Any reason you forgot to switch the screen on, though? It's not working, just hearing your voice.

They have a different smell from one another so I do not think it is that. It is more that they are well-trained to act as one unit.

I merely do not wish to turn the video on for now.

Interesting way of knowing, though. You don't happen to be a dog person? It'd explain your keen sense of smell and fear of being seen.

Well, you aren't a dog person - all you wanted to hide was that you had bathed recently. That's...pretty boring a revelation.

[She seemed more disappointed than anything else. Naked people didn't do that much for her, and she completely glossed over that normally, humans don't really show things like that to complete strangers.]
