[Lena is sitting cross-legged on her bed with a sword balanced across her knees. She scowls down at it]

Why are these...apartments so white? [The way she says 'apartment' makes it clear the word is unfamiliar] It's almost enough to give a person snow blindness.

I need to get some air. Is there anyone out there with some familiarity in using a sword? Or...who doesn't mind facing off with someone using one, for that matter. I need practice against more than just people using the same weapon as me. [She shoves a hand back through her hair] Especially in this place.

What type of sword do you use? [he doesn't typically like to fight transports, but a straight-up sword fight should be manageable.]

[She keeps the video on at her end, indicating the sword on her lap] It's a longsword. One or two handed grip. [A tight smile] I'm versatile.

[There's clear approval in his tone.]

Excellent. I will spar with you, if you'd like.

[A pause.] In all seriousness, though, I've had a few lessons.

You'd be surprised at how hard that is for some people to grasp.

[She eyes him for a moment] Care to try them out?

If I'm being made to play soldier, I should at least try to remember how to fight, right?

What...kind of sword do you use?

A katana. It might be educational anyway. You won't always fight someone with the same kind of weapon as you, after all. Probably.

With the numbers here, perhaps there should be some time set to spar against each other, to learn and teach.

Tuesdays and Thursday are compulsory, apparently. I've been working every day - it's not like there's much else to do. [a beat] That is to say - what I mean is, yes, that's a good idea.

Ah. Yes. I am familiar with that.

Being raised by a martial priesthood teaches you much about compulsory training. I shouldn't complain - I've lived almost sixteen years by my skills and no one's killed me yet.

This? [She looks down at the sword laid across her legs, and something about her manner changes, tenses up] No. It's a family heirloom.

[ His initial enthusiasm is muted slightly by the shift in demeanor. He's still interested, but a bit more thoughtful. ] Wow. Cool heirloom. How long has your family had it?

It makes them seem too clean and unnatural. [After living in a run down castle in the middle of the forest for nearly a year, and then staying in some of the most colorful inns in Camwood with her sisters, the apartments rub her the wrong way.]

Oh, have we pushed ourselves into roles where we can't agree on things? Because I can start being antagonistic.

[Being told where to go and given basically no answers puts Ezio in a not so great mood. He is glad, though, that he was able to keep his weapon of choosing: his hidden blades. He has not much else on him save for the new netbook (which is entirely foreign to him), the card (also new), and the key.

So here he is, opening the door with an annoyed sigh, not quite paying attention to whoever is inside currently.]

[Lena is just stepping out of her room to get a glass of water when the door opens. The sigh is distinctly masculine, and ever since Derek left there's absolutely no reason for there to be masculine sighs happening in this apartment. She darks back into her room to grab her sword before striding back into the lounge. The weapon isn't exactly directed at the guy, but she's not handling it casually either] Who are you?
