[The four-eyed alien on the screen is excitedly typing away on her laptop with two hands, and waving two more in excited ways. Because yes, she has four hands and she is making wild gestures to punctuate each and every word she says. She is not going to stop for anything.]

I can’t believe this! Humans are everywhere, this is the most amazingly perfect opportunity! I have been studying humans, of course, but my sample size has been very limited up until now!

Let me review my notes so far- [She taps a few times on her laptop to bring up said notes, rapidly reading over them a few times before she starts talking again]

Humans are a fairly low-tech pre-spaceflight species, not many of them have made it into space! Which is such a shame, they’re a very attractive species, even though they tend to be a bit hairy and don’t have enough eyes. But I haven’t let things like that get in my way before! [She laughs loudly, then continues]

What else, what else- I wish I had my original notes here, I really did! Oh yes- humans are remarkably stubborn, prone to irrationality...and quite a violent species, too, aren’t they? They certainly do love their wars! Only two sexes too, correct? Isn’t that a shame.

I believe that’s where my data ends! I need more, much more to fill out a proper database file. And if any are up for an examination....well, I am a doctor! I need to know how to treat all of you, don’t I?

I think it's because you're a human yourself! Humans aren't a novel species to you, you see them every day, after all.

But I've only ever met three in my life! And now I've talked to.. [She begins counting the fingers on one of her hands] Four? Five? Since I've arrived!

[ He laughs at her excitement over this. Really. How can people be offended by this? ]

We are a contradicting lot. What you see in one, you would not see in another, and all with our own mannerisms and quirks and nationalities as well. Perhaps you should study the natives.

I am working on that, of course! A few of the native inhabitants have already spoken with me. I think some of my questions were too prying, though.

The people on this network seem very interesting, too! My interest is with humans right now, but I will have to survey the species who have been transported here.

Humans tend to take views on questions from people they don't readily know. Although, the only people you will hear from on this network are others that were pulled here just like you.

Oh yes, I am aware! I was being friendly, and then I asked them questions. But I do not think they thought I was trying to make friends.

I know! The humans here don't seem to have access to this network, how strange.

Probably not. Most humans believe aliens will eat them for lunch.

Not really. If you were part of an army, would you want the civilians know about all your plans?

I am a carnivore. But eating a sentient species would be terrible.

Ah- I suppose I am included as part of this army? I am not a fighter.

I come from a land in the East. We usually go by family name then first name and only our intimates call us by our first names. The Western lands go by first name then family name and it is common to use their first name even at a professional level.

That depends on how intimate you want to get.

Ah! That is similar to my culture's naming tradition, then. Kinna is my family's title, Nananea is my given name.

I would like to get fairly intimate, I believe.
