[video] - 002
[The video feed shows Meg standing in her apartment bedroom. There's a can of spraypaint in her hand, which she's shaking up with a clacking sound coming from the can as its mixed.
Her lips purse and she whistles a happy tune as she lifts the can to the wall and starts to spray paint a design. It's not your traditional grafitti. Instead, it's a mix of circles, lines and symbols.
Nothing like beginning your home decor with a little angel-proofing. And if her roomies aren't careful, she's going to migrate these symbols onto the living room walls, too.]

[Guess he'll have to find out another way...]

[He won't eat her, but he's not above hitting a woman - if that's what she is - to get the information he requires. Either way he needs a good look of these symbols. He needs to find out where she lives, and lurk.]
action time!
Like the other units, it's a 3 bedroom apartment, but Meg's room is really very obvious, since it does have those symbols decorating the walls. There isn't much else inside, though, beyond the furnishings the place came with.]
action time!
He's never seen their like, and he's seen a lot. Quickly, he copies them into a small notebook. Snapping pictures? What?]

What surprises and pleases her is to see who it is. Could her day get any better? Not likely!
Though John might not have heard her come in, he most definitely will hear her shut the bedroom door. Meg turns to look at him and smiles.]
I don't think this is your room. And if you're looking for the panty drawer, you're way off.
[He'll have to check the dresser for that.]
no subject
Don't cause me any trouble, and this'll all be over in a minute.

She doesn't look intimidated by his threat and when he touches his gun, her hand slides her jacket back to reveal a knife.]
Those symbols could be useful to you, if you knew what they actually did.
no subject
And you're gonna tell me that.
[Not a question; in person he can actually threaten her. He watches the knife but it doesn't intimidate him. He's faced so much worse.]
no subject
[Her voice is a bit challenging.]
'Cause you've got a gun? Baby, I've dealt with far worse than you. Things that don't need guns or knives to skin you alive.
If you wanna know what those symbols do, you're gonna have to tell me what you want 'em for and who the hell you are.

[Hunters; gotta hate them. He scowls but getting her to talk would be a hell of a lot easier than researching this on his own in this weird world he doesn't even understand.
And he's already got the law on his ass for one shooting; he'd rather not shoot a person, if this is what she is. She definitely acts like a hunter.]
I'm a hunter.
no subject
I believe you. You do act like a hunter.
[She smirks.]
Even if you're not, you should protect your ass, anyway.
Name's Nicki.
no subject
Eric. You wanna tell me what you're keeping out with those?
no subject
Angels.
[And with that one word, she's watching the expression on John's face.]
no subject
Most people look to welcome 'em in. What d'you know about 'em? [His hand stays on his gun, but his stance relaxes a little bit; he buys her as a hunter, everything she did so far screamed it, aside for showing her face on the network. He wonders if she knows of the angel's presence, if her little show was meant for him.]
no subject
[She eyes him a bit as she strolls toward the wall and then stares at the symbols.]
They come from heaven, sure, but they can't be trusted. They might say they're on your side, but angels only do what their superiors command.
I'm not gonna tell you there's a God. I've never seen Him if he exists. But I've seen angels. One demon or one ghost is still just one thing to fight. But an angel, one of them can waste a town of a thousand before you can blink an eye.
no subject
And these symbols keep them out? What else do you know about them?
no subject
Well, you can only know so much. You can read plenty of books about them.
I know they have to take a body. If you see one, that's an angel riding around in some poor sap's skin.
no subject
[Mary used to say angels were watching over Dean. God, what he wouldn't give to avoid that being true now.]
How d'you fight them?
no subject
There's a weapon that can hurt 'em, but angels have them.
There's also a sigil you can use to banish them. Only works for a few hours, though, but it'll give you enough time to clear out if you need to.
no subject
[Finally, something's going his way - he's getting the information he needs. A way to banish Cas from Dean's side if the worst case scenario happens - and to be honest when doesn't it happen to Winchesters?]
Show me -
no subject
[She holds her hands out to show the length.]
With a sharp point and shine like pure silver.
The sigil...
[Meg goes to a drawer and pulls out a sheet of paper and a pen. She starts drawing the sigil onto the paper.]
It looks like this. You paint it on a surface, a wall, something like that, but it's gotta be done in blood. Then you just press your hand into the middle of it, and the angel vanishes. I don't know where they go, and I don't really give a damn. If one's about to toast you, don't hesitate to use it. Could save your life.
no subject
Does it matter what kind of blood? Does it have to be fresh?
[Because drawing that takes time and if he could have one of those at the ready, that would make his life a hell of a lot easier.]
no subject
If you find out, tell me, alright?
[She smiles a bit and offers him the piece of paper.]
Hey, you seem alright, but I don't want it getting around that I'm a hunter. That video thing was a fluke, but I'm pretty sure you're the only one smart enough to know what you saw.
[A little smirk.]
Besides, I work alone. I don't need anyone bangin' on my door. I've gotta look out for myself.
