‡1st Treasure‡
[The video feed sparks to life as Chloe taps repeatedly at the screen, offering the net a view of a woman with shoulder-length dark hair and bright eyes, wearing a stylish biking jacket and a few layers of leather necklaces with various little charms hanging from their ends. The city's skyline is visible behind her from a particularly high vantage point, and it's likely that she's found herself a resting place somewhere atop the roof of one of the taller buildings. She wiggles a few fingers lazily in greeting before speaking up with a distinctly Australian accent.]
Evening, everyone. Chloe here. New arrival, in case you haven't noticed. All right, somewhat new. Got dragged into this mess a few days ago and decided to take my time getting settled; never know what's out there if you don't bother to look first.
I was a treasure hunter back home-- one of the best in the business, I might add. Problem is I'm getting the impression that there's not much treasure to be found here on Alcatraz, and I'd prefer to stay sharp while things are relatively quiet. So here's the deal: if you need something of value-- for a price-- I'm more than happy to lend a well-trained hand and fetch it for you.
[She moves to shut the call down before adding, thoughtfully]
And in the meantime, if anyone out there knows a place that serves good drinks, I'm all ears. After all this I could sure as hell use one.

Probably for the best that it's just you and me. Wouldn't want anyone else tangled up in this mess, and Nate would just cause as much trouble as he could find.

[To be honest, Sully had been waiting for Flynn to give him a good reason to just knock the guy senseless. He couldn't help but smile devilishly to himself at the thought.]
I sort of wish we could let bygones be bygones, as much as he annoys me. Just so we could have another head (or half of one at least). But he's definitely a stubborn one. I'd rather be opposing him than you though, you're a fiery one for sure!
[He patted her leg suddenly.]
I love it!

If he could come to his senses? Yeah, sure, but at this point I think there's not a chance in hell that he'll let the past lie.
But us, us is good. You and I could take on the whole bloody world and still come out on top.

Baby, as long as it's with you, I don't care who's on top.
[He grinned innocently and nudged her lightly with his elbow.]
So how are YOUR room mates? Purple kangaroos? Green lemurs? Interplanetary space vixens? Sort of hoping for the latter now that I've got the mental image going... This prison state could use it's own princess of Mars.

[Chloe gives him a slightly puzzled glance before sliding down off the counter and making her way towards his room.] What? No. God no.
A couple of normal guys. Well-- one's normal, at least. Can't speak much for the other. I'd say he's a bit of a science nut, but that'd be the understatement of the year.

I'd say you're lucky, but really my guys aren't too bad. They seem like people we could work with? People to stick together with?
[Sully sat on the edge of the bed and took a drink. He patted the empty space next to him, urging Chloe to join him. He ran his fingers through his hair, scratching the back of his head.]
It's hard to figure out who to trust and who not to in this place. I don't even understand the stakes and sides really, or if there even are any.
[He sighed heavily.]
I'm too old for this shit...

[The invitation isn't necessary; Chloe was planning on settling in beside him, anyway. She drops down on the bed, setting the beer on the floor just in front of her and working to kick off her boots.]
The same ones as usual, love. The power hungry, the imprisoned-- and then the people like us, the ones that stay off the radar and mind our own bloody business. Nothing else really matters, does it?
no subject
[He leaned back flat on the bed, staring at the ceiling again, absentmindedly tracing shapes on Chloe's back with his fingertips.]
I could probably stay here, like this, forever. Assuming I don't get that goddamned itch that usually leads to Nate stirring up trouble...

For your sake, and mine, let's hope that day never comes, then.
