[The video feed sparks to life as Chloe taps repeatedly at the screen, offering the net a view of a woman with shoulder-length dark hair and bright eyes, wearing a stylish biking jacket and a few layers of leather necklaces with various little charms hanging from their ends. The city's skyline is visible behind her from a particularly high vantage point, and it's likely that she's found herself a resting place somewhere atop the roof of one of the taller buildings. She wiggles a few fingers lazily in greeting before speaking up with a distinctly Australian accent.]

Evening, everyone. Chloe here. New arrival, in case you haven't noticed. All right, somewhat new. Got dragged into this mess a few days ago and decided to take my time getting settled; never know what's out there if you don't bother to look first.

I was a treasure hunter back home-- one of the best in the business, I might add. Problem is I'm getting the impression that there's not much treasure to be found here on Alcatraz, and I'd prefer to stay sharp while things are relatively quiet. So here's the deal: if you need something of value-- for a price-- I'm more than happy to lend a well-trained hand and fetch it for you.

[She moves to shut the call down before adding, thoughtfully]

And in the meantime, if anyone out there knows a place that serves good drinks, I'm all ears. After all this I could sure as hell use one.

Chloe doesn't skip a beat when responding, but she does narrow her eyes just slightly at the sight of his somewhat concealed face. Is that...blue hair? Pshf. Kids these days.]

Relics mostly. Historical artifacts left behind or hidden away for hundreds of years. It all depends on the client.

[Sullivan's mouth hangs open in surprise, an unlit cigar nearly falls from it before he catches it with his hand.]

Chloe?! Well I'll be go to hell! You have no idea how great it is to see a familiar face! What are you doi- How did you- .... How did we get here? What's going on? Have you seen Nate?

[He realizes how frantic he must seem and calms a little, smoothing his hair and cracking his neck to relax.]

[Chloe's face lights up the second she hears the sound of Sully's voice, and when his face registers, when she knows it is REALLY him, she looks relieved enough to hug the damn screen. Which for Chloe is saying something.]

Victor Sullivan, you beautiful bloody bastard! Never thought I'd see your face again.

No, no. Nate's not here, I'm afraid. Barely anyone is, to be honest.

[ Chloe? Really? When Flynn sees the familiar face on his netbook, his first impulse (after staring in shock for a few beats) is to shut off the feed. He manages to keep it off for a few seconds, but soon he's tuned back in and listening to her introduction.

Needless to say, he's not sure how he feels about this development. A small part of him is thrilled - a very, very small part. The rest is equal parts self-pitying and angry. The end result of this tangle of emotions is a violently bitter mood.

It takes him another moment to decide on replying, but inevitably he does. He's not really the type to stay away from trouble. ]

Well, look who it is. Shouldn't you be in slightly more pieces?

[Damn. She was hoping you would still be preoccupied sleeping off those wounds of yours.]

[There's no particular inflection there. In fact, for someone who primarily communicates with tones, it's pretty damn unnatural. But you're back from the dead and you pulled through all right, so she's not even sure where she stands on all of this.]

Well met Chloe. It's always, well, not nice, but certainly interesting to meet another treasure hunter. I haven't found any good dungeons to explore either, but if I do find one worth raiding, I'll keep your name in mind.

[Dungeons? Well met? She sounds just like the undead knight from the other day, but less...well, intimidating, really. Which is welcome when it comes to the whole not-human thing.

Depends on the hunter, more than anything else. Don't worry, I'm not the sort that makes a habit out of shooting my partners in the back. [Not without good reason, anyway.] More trouble than it's worth in the long run.

Gasoline. I need gasoline. I can't find it in the city. The cars that people use here appear to run on something different. [ what are electric vehicles, even ] What I have so far has been siphoned off wrecks on the roads further up north. Out of the city.
