If that is the Initiative's notion of training, I shudder to think how they command a battlefield. Victory will come steeped in more blood than it ought.

Is anything being done to combat this? Has no one here any semblance of proper military instruction?

Let me see.

They all but dumped us on the battlefield in Assyria. There was some organization, but hardly enough. Many of the transports simply ran loose. After Assyria, they tried to send us back to some other place and time but it appears that many of us were sent to the wrong destinations. And there were long delays in getting us back to Exsilium.

As for organization attempts:

Anders has made attempts to bring the mages together. Fairly successful ones, I believe. But that is only a subset of us.

I believe that Anora meant to hold a meeting amongst the transports to discuss organization but other events got in the way. I forget which. This was quite a while ago.

Fiona has just recently made a call, as well. But I am not sure what has become of that. Once again, I believe other events got in the way. [ THIS VR DISASTER, he means ]

What was the purpose of the mission in Assyria? Had they any stated goal, or if not, any you could determine?

A collective of mages is a start, at least. [ a beat. perhaps Loki has wormed his way into that circle. ] I believe I know the Anders you speak of, but I will need to seek out the others.

I am not actually certain what the purpose was. We saved a village from being destroyed. Perhaps the location was important, perhaps someone in it. I do not know.

Anora lives in unit 302, if you wish to contact her. I am not sure of Fiona but I believe she and Anders are close.

But a village was saved nonetheless. A small comfort, I suppose. [ still-- the poor show of warfare is an affront ]

I suppose. Saving it caused some manner of warp in time, though. We felt the effects in this era. The second mission was all about fixing that mistake.
