I'd recommend finding a more effective way to keep your conversation with Thor away from prying eyes. [ a beat. ] And ears. This line is far from secure.

Their leadership in battle was to point us to a target and shout kill.

As I have been saying, we need to figure out what we should be working towards instead of shouting foul to the winds and do nothing.

That will get their recruits needlessly killed.

The first step would be to determine who is trained for battle - battle, not merely fighting.

I think if you tried talking to them and offering help, they would take it! Most people seem to want to fight them, rather than work with them.

Understandably so. They have been torn from their homes by strangers and told to fight for an uncertain cause. But even the former would benefit from a better understanding of strategy.

A training facility is of little use to those with no knowledge of how to make use of it.

I think people would be interested in learning all they need to stay alive.

There have been attempts to better organize ourselves, before. But progress has been slow. And often interrupted.

Whatever you're talking about—nothing beats field experience. [A sniff and he narrows his eyes, smiling wryly.] If the training is safe, it sure as hell won't prepare you for a real fight.

You speak truly, but training prepares the body for what it must know to do instinctively. If the Initiative cannot even supply adequate training, they cannot be counted upon to devise effective strategy, to properly put to use those it has conscripted into its war.

From all that I have heard and what little I have seen myself, you are right to worry.

Fighting together, in this instance, is key. An army of great size can overwhelm a warrior of great skill.
