Ooh, I think I got it to work!  The little light's blinking. That's like the universal sign for 'working', isn't it? [ the young girl, clad in a quite.. quirky outfit peers at the camera on the device quizzically. ] That means I'm being recorded, right? Well, a magician has to keep up appearances, so! Hello, Citizens of Exsilium! My name's Trucy Wright, Ace Magician! Maybe you've heard of me! Or maybe you've heard of daddy, that usually seems to be the case. [ she bounces on her heels a bit. ] I don't really know what's going on, but while I'm stuck here, let's have some fun, okay?

Let's start with an icebreaker! [ Trucy holds up a deck of redbacked playing cards. She then spreads all 52 out in her hand. ] Pick a card, any card!

My head? [ Reaching up... and pulling the card down with a surprised look on her face. ] W, wait, how did you do that? You're not even here!

[ She knows how a few of the more basic card tricks work, but those at least have the other person in the same room. ]

Actually, to be honest, I'm not sure how it works! I'm not one for revealing my secrets, but I think there's something special about this deck. [ She holds up her hand and the card poofs back in her hand again. ] See? Not that I'm complaining!

[ Get used to the stupidity, it's not going anywhere. ]

That's kinda weird. [ Wait, Sayaka's actually having a brainwave here... ] Did you choose that as your weapon or something? They said you could choose anything, but I didn't think that meant stuff like cards too.

[ It wouldn't be too surprising - she's seen some odd weapon choices already, though none quite so strange. ]

I think that's what it's supposed to be, yeah. They had a lot of things, so I thought I might as well pick something I already know how to use!

[ not in a combative way, but. What can you do. ]

Yeah, that's what I did too. [ Granted, a sword somehow seems more practical than cards. ] Hopefully they don't expect you to fight with something like that, though.

[ Unless impressing them with magic tricks leads to surrender. It could happen. ]
