[ He really is pretty worked up over this, well... for him. The angel rarely raises his voice, but stresses certain words that break away from his usual monotone.

Odd, he's acting almost... jealous. ]

[ Cas gives a subtle shake of his head, squinting as if to ask what in the world he's thinking, and then just looks away. ]

What's wrong with speakin' about this now? Heck, perfect timin' and all considerin' where I am. [ He gestures to the training area around him. ]

[ Castiel glares back at him and then a light bulb switches on -- he and the hunter may have found themselves in some pretty unusual settings in recent history, but a training room is by far the weirdest. In any case, his anger subsides. ]

What do you mean what is that? Training room -- Cas, dude, are you feelin' okay? [ Look, he though you understood the joke, got over it, and then got huffy. But then - ] Wait, don't tell me you still think I'm talkin' about, uh, you know.

[ You know when someone is clearly backpedaling, defensive and also happen to be a terrible liar they start speaking just a little too quickly, can't maintain eye contact, and pausing in places where they shouldn't? ]

No, of course not. That would be... foolish.

[ Yeah, that. ]

[ Unimpressed, Cas. so unimpressed. ]

Uh-huh. So you're just bein' a dick over trainin' buddies, right. S'nice, Cas, real nice.

[ YEP, sure didn't think that through, now he's committed to something that sounds even worse than the truth... so he just falls silent and takes his embarrassment with a quick downcast of his eyes.

Eventually, he admits: ]

I... suppose I jumped to some worrisome conclusions.

Yeah, no shit, man. [ Okay, so he knows his original feed was very much aiming for this kinda confusion, but he should have known Cas wouldn't get it (come on, when does he ever?) so there's a sigh...and then a smile. ]

Gettin' a little too human there, Cas. [ How did the jealousy taste like? ]

[ That's even more worrisome, in a way. While Cas found that being human to be inconvenient, he was able to relate to Dean on a level he's found it difficult to emulate now. It sometimes leaves him feeling conflicted about it.

He sighs. ]

...That is a very troubling observation.

Nah, don't let it get to you, dude. [ He'd shoulder-push your right now if he could. Come on. ] Guess even angel's can get their wings in a twist every now and then.

[ The casual way Dean approaches this misunderstanding is too remarkable for Castiel not to notice, and it takes him a moment of studying his expression before he speaks again. ]

I suppose so. But there seem to have a few interested women who have also misunderstood your request for training.

...A misunderstanding you don't seem eager to correct.

[ CASUAL AND CASUAL...he just doesn't wanna talk about it here, over this feed.

Now why you gotta go catch him with his hand in the cookie jar, Cas? He looks..sheepish. ]

Come on, have you seen them? S'place is cute chick nation, or something. And m'just messin' 'round -- so no harm done, right?

[ Castiel doesn't seem eager to talk about it, either... but he supposes that if Dean is simply entertaining himself and nothing more, no harm is technically done.

Still, if there's no harm done, then why does he deadpan: ]

[ For such an expressionless guy, Cas sure is making himself too easy to read this time. ]

Uh-huh, exactly. [ Playing along, playing along..... ] S'a complicated thing, an' all. [ He'll show you his human urges whenever they can catch a private moment, okay. ]

[ Cas has his moments where even that stony mien of his can't conceal when he's feeling pissy. Despite attempts to just let this slide, he just can't shake it completely away, and that only seems to make it even more frustrating. ]

[ But the attitude shifts, just enough to ease that tension: ]
