Residence, pay, weapons... 'Tis truly a most perplexing abduction, indeed. Am I to be prodded like some errant pet? Experimented upon, perhaps? Or merely observed? Seems a most foolish squandering of resources, if so.

Yet, here I note mentions of conscription and battle. An irony, truly - though, better than the forced imbibing darkspawn essence... And considerably more agreeable with one's palate, no doubt.

So, tell me... How long am I to be expected to roam? Or must my first order of business be one of rebellion?

Not all mages are as inadequately prepared against the dangers found there as those who laboured under the Circle's restrictions... Knowledge can be a most powerful weapon, should one realise how to wield it.

The only thing they are well-versed in, is submission to indoctrination. I did not learn my craft by adhering to rules administered by those who do not share it... Circle practice discourages initiative. Anything less would allow students to have questioning minds - and the Chantry cannot possibly suffer that.
