This is most certainly a change. To be quite honest, I am not very fond of these leaps and bounds into the future. I become rather fond of 1962 as history rages on.

Nevertheless.

I've been somewhat limited in my time since arriving here. You see, my mutation does not function in the same way. It's very distressing.

It is with that in mind that I ask you all whether or not the same thing is occurring for you. Have you noticed any dampening of your natural abilities? Perhaps abilities that were not necessarily of the norm?

Sure have. Back home I could sort'a—I dunno, change things up. Imagine things different, and make 'em that way. Hasn't worked here, so far.

And some other stuff—all my old, old, attacks? If that's what you'd call 'em? I had to pay for 'em, before, like with—elf tears, and tokens. I reckon I still got the dough, but no one to take it from me, if you catch my drift. Bank's closed and they dissolved all my stock.

Guess it's just, bein' in a different world. Feels like breathin' through a stuffed nose.

That does sound about right, doesn't it? It's more alarming than I could have anticipated, that is certain.

Hell, it doesn't bother me that much. Didn't make a habit of fightin' monsters and demons, y'know? More of a one use kinda thing.

But I figure I'm only here on account of it, yeah? If they're gonna be sendin' us to fight for our lives, it sure can't hurt to get it back.

I haven't really tested my abilities or anything, but I haven't noticed anything dampened either or felt much different.

[He considers something for a moment] I could test it more if you like, but, well, I tend to only use my abilities in battle situations. I haven't used it much for just trials or practice.

It could be their tech. Maybe they have a way of blocking you somehow? They must really not want us knowing about all of their plans though if that's the case. I'm guessing that was what you were trying to do with your ability.
