[It takes Estelle a little tinkering to get used to the idea of the tablet. But she thinks she sort of gets the idea, managing to open up a video feed.]

Oh! There, it seems like it's working now. [It's almost like seeing Rita working with her blastia research a little....

[She pulls back a little from peering closely at the tablet, smiling almost triumphantly at having figured it out for the most part and giving a small wave.]

Hello everyone! I guess I'm one of the newer arrivals and my name is Estellise. Oh, but you can just call me 'Estelle'. I might not be quite as aware on the situation as others who have been here longer, but I'll help as best I can. War is a terrible thing and I'd like to do my best to prevent it escalating if possible. I've done some fighting back home and I wouldn't like for things to get too out of hand, with children or civilians getting hurt and caught up in this.

[She's worried there, obviously upset at the situation from what she has gathered. It's not quite as dangerous as back home with the threat of the Adephagos, but even so, this is still serious and it seems like they are bringing in a lot of people to help out the Initiative.]

Though I guess all of this might take a bit of....getting used to. This is quite different from Zaphias back home. I can heal, so if there is some sort of clinic or something I'd like to offer my help if I can.

Oh! I'm not sure if there are any books here but I'd still like to hear some stories! I think this is a wonderful chance to learn so much with people from such different places! I've never heard of 'Earth' before I came here so I'd love to hear more about it.

I wanted to also thank everyone that helped me when I first got here too. I think I'm getting used to things here now.

And....I'm sorry if Yuri caused anyone any trouble. It's...not necessarily his fault but trouble sort of seems to follow him sometimes.

[A light, almost sheepish smile. She knows what Yuri can be like at times and even unintentionally how often he ends up in the middle of things.]

It sounds like it would. But I'm not sure. Maybe it doesn't with their magic or something. It just sounds....strange. Does that mean they tattoo their eyes? How would that work?

I don't know the details, but I don't think they go that far? The tattoos are focusing aids or something... I think.

I might be wrong about that. I never read the psionics books.

Focusing aids...I see, so that is how they use their magic? I hope there are some books here that I can use to learn from other worlds. I guess in the meantime I can take notes and write all this down.

For... Uh. Well, the way my world works would confuse most people.

Oh. So I can't find books here on the other worlds? I guess taking notes and listening to their people's stories will have to do then. I was hoping to read about them to learn more.

Yeah. I don't see a lot of that. Some people can teach others the powers of their own worlds - I'm one of them - but that's the abnormal case.

I wonder if I could teach others healing then. But maybe that wouldn't work, if that doesn't happen often.

Well...I think it is probably more unique to me I guess.

Yeah, I'm not sure it'd work like that. If the power's not unique in your world and can be learned, rather than inherited, you can teach it to others here, but...

I'm just not sure if my specific way of healing might be something I can teach or not....of course if I can, I'd want to help and teach others though.

Hrm. Maybe. Ultimately you'd have to try to find out, I guess.

I know I can teach some of my abilities to people. But not some of my best.

So which abilities are there that you can teach then?

Anything borne of class training, as opposed to inherent racial power.

It's... Well, here lemme try the easy ask first. Do role-playing games exist in your world?

I'm not sure. They might and I just don't know about them. I was....kind of sheltered back home.

My world's got the laws of physics, but then there's The Rules. They're... An odd abstraction, more or less.

Well. For example. You gain abilities by taking one or more levels in a 'class'. There's a ton of them - Bard, Warlock, Wizard - and each one grants different abilities.

I'm a high-level Bard, for example, so I can cast a bunch of spells, and play magical music that enhances my allies' ability to fight.

That's without going into the exact number of spells per day, or precisely how much my music enhances people's ability to fight.

I suppose some spells are more difficult and require more concentration than others....I think I sort of get the idea?

Very loosely, yeah.

That's without talking about the numbers and such.
