[It takes Estelle a little tinkering to get used to the idea of the tablet. But she thinks she sort of gets the idea, managing to open up a video feed.]

Oh! There, it seems like it's working now. [It's almost like seeing Rita working with her blastia research a little....

[She pulls back a little from peering closely at the tablet, smiling almost triumphantly at having figured it out for the most part and giving a small wave.]

Hello everyone! I guess I'm one of the newer arrivals and my name is Estellise. Oh, but you can just call me 'Estelle'. I might not be quite as aware on the situation as others who have been here longer, but I'll help as best I can. War is a terrible thing and I'd like to do my best to prevent it escalating if possible. I've done some fighting back home and I wouldn't like for things to get too out of hand, with children or civilians getting hurt and caught up in this.

[She's worried there, obviously upset at the situation from what she has gathered. It's not quite as dangerous as back home with the threat of the Adephagos, but even so, this is still serious and it seems like they are bringing in a lot of people to help out the Initiative.]

Though I guess all of this might take a bit of....getting used to. This is quite different from Zaphias back home. I can heal, so if there is some sort of clinic or something I'd like to offer my help if I can.

Oh! I'm not sure if there are any books here but I'd still like to hear some stories! I think this is a wonderful chance to learn so much with people from such different places! I've never heard of 'Earth' before I came here so I'd love to hear more about it.

I wanted to also thank everyone that helped me when I first got here too. I think I'm getting used to things here now.

And....I'm sorry if Yuri caused anyone any trouble. It's...not necessarily his fault but trouble sort of seems to follow him sometimes.

[A light, almost sheepish smile. She knows what Yuri can be like at times and even unintentionally how often he ends up in the middle of things.]

Oh. Well, he can be sometimes, but he's really not that bad once you get to know him! I promise.

I do know some magic, yes. Mostly healing, but some offensive spells too. Why?

Um, what do blastia have to do with it?

Blastia have many uses. One of which can be to help us get stronger in battle, to help enhance our strength or magic abilities.

I see... Can you fight, even without blastia?

I haven't tried to, but....I probably could. Just not as effectively.

So it's like that. [ She's not planning anything! Really. Sabotage isn't her style. ]

Anyway, about Yuri... Just what is he, if he is acquainted with you? He doesn't seem to be a noble of any sort.

Yes. He used to be in training to be a knight, actually. But I first met him when I was trying to escape the castle. We initially ended up traveling together to find Flynn and discover who had taken the blastia from the lower quarter where Yuri lived. But...well, a lot of things happened and we sort of kept going, meeting new friends along the way.

[ For the first time, Kougyoku's tone changes into something gentler, friendlier. She's opening up a little. ]

... That sounds like fun. I wish I could run away, too. [ But that would be abandoning her duty and betraying her family. Isn't that bad...? She shakes her head. ]

I suppose ending up here is a little like it.

Sort of. I'm not sure if people back home miss us at all while we are here but it's....close enough.

[Estelle knows not everyone would run off like she did. Though she did have reason at the time. She never meant to stay away from the castle so long but things just kept escalating around them and she couldn't not help. Estelle notices the change, but doesn't comment on it, unsure if it might make her angry or embarrassed like Rita.]

[ ... Should she tell Estelle this information? Oh, she doesn't know why she's doing this. It's not like she cares, but she says it anyway. ]

I heard that they can bring us back to the time they took us from, so it will be like we never truly left.

So... You do not have to worry about it.

Really? That's a relief. At least the others back home won't be worrying and wondering where I am then. That's good. For all of us, I guess.

[ Alibaba and her family won't think she left or betrayed them. That was enough comfort for her. She was curious about Estelle's situation, however. Also they were both royalty, their situations were very different. It was interesting. ]

Um, why did you escape? From the castle.

I had to warn Flynn about something. And after that....we just kept finding more things that required our attention I guess. Goals changing, meeting new friends....it might have been dangerous at times, but I don't regret any of it. Not for a second.

Your life sounds... very exciting.

I want... [ A life like that. An independent life like that. The will to do anything not for others, but for herself. ]

I'm glad. That you found some of your friends here, I mean.

I suppose exciting is one word for it. What do you want?

Oh, yes. I'm glad they are here too. Do you have anyone else here from home with you?

[Because Estelle knows she would be overwhelmed and lost without Yuri and Flynn here. She can only imagine arriving here alone.]

[ She says this with a sigh. And she certainly doesn't want to tell Estelle what she wants! ]

Oh. I'm sorry. It must be hard in such a strange place without anyone familiar.

[ She doesn't want her pity! Estelle, you're being unfair. Kougyoku wants to hate her, but can't find any reason to. ]

Yes... but it's all right. I, made friends.

[ She's proud of that. ]

That's great! I can't wait to make some new friends here too! We have so much we can help with and teach each other in this situation. It would be a shame not to take this opportunity.

... I... I will make more friends than you!

But making friends isn't about numbers. It's about sharing things together, getting to know each other. It's not a competition, it's okay.

[Estelle seems almost confused and amused at the same time at this, unsure quite why this seems like a competition or game between them all of a sudden.]
