for those of you just joining us, some info. ]

Zombies, right? From the scorch marks and the blood stains everywhere, it seems more likely than ghosts — but maybe spirits can bleed if you do them enough harm. I'm no expert on this sort of thing.

Though I can't say it's a "welcome back" I prefer, I can't say it's a complete surprise, either. Has the danger passed? Do you know? Or, should I expect some living corpses to leap out from the air vents and shower stalls?

It can be pretty embarrassing, I'd think, to find out you're wrong about something so essential about someone, so long after making someone's acquaintance.

A little. But that sort of thing happens all the time. People find reasons to lie to others or even themselves every day. I know that because Im a lawyer...seen it to many times to count.

I sure hope I would. Its good to have some idea of who you can trust, even if theyre lying to you a little bit. Given the circomstances Im willing to forgive some deception so long as its negligable enough.

What would you consider negligible?

Good question, actually. Maritial status, religion, family history...I just dont see that stuff mattering as much up here. Different story back home of course.

I can understand the others, but why would a person lie about their religion, of everything? That seems a little strange, to me.

Ive no idea. Which is exactly why it wouldnt matter. Maybe they were disguised as a priest.

But you included that with family, and marriage, and the difference between Truth and Deceit can be very, very wide. It can make a lot of difference, in how you're treated, or what you can accomplish.
