for those of you just joining us, some info. ]

Zombies, right? From the scorch marks and the blood stains everywhere, it seems more likely than ghosts — but maybe spirits can bleed if you do them enough harm. I'm no expert on this sort of thing.

Though I can't say it's a "welcome back" I prefer, I can't say it's a complete surprise, either. Has the danger passed? Do you know? Or, should I expect some living corpses to leap out from the air vents and shower stalls?

Even if you DONT volunteer theres no accounting for bad luck. But everybody seems pretty confidant that we're out of the woods so I am inclined to want to belive it.

[ she has to nudge the door closed behind her with her foot, hands occupied. she looks a little different from when she left, skin a little darker for a tan and hair looking more vibrant for actual showers with actual hair care products that cost more than instant noodles. the clothes are new, too, though the sunglasses now perched on her forehead are not.

she shrugs the duffle bag off her one shoulder, still balancing the cup of too-expensive coffee in the other.

between zombies and wherever she went, she obviously had the easier time. ]

I'm glad to hear about that. And the place doesn't seem completely decimated, either.

I wouldn't have been any use in a crisis like that, so I suppose I'm very grateful, for how lucky my timing turned out to be.

It's still functioning well enough, which is a miracle in and of itself.

I imagine you've turned out to be the envy of many.

It's possible. But then, everyone has enviable qualities, I think, so it can be an equal exchange.

I may have avoided the fight, that's true, but I envy those with strength enough to emerge victorious from it.

I would think most people haven't, but it's hard to tell, with a group like this.

I don't know. A lot of people seem to be pretty...on-point about how to handle them? I suppose. At least, this could've gone on a lot longer than it did. That's what it feels like, anyway.
