Okay, now that people have the hang of doing supply runs, question:

We're probably going to still be here through the end of November at least. Anyone up for making some kind of Thanksgiving-like celebration? People can give suggestions for their favorite kinds of foods from home, and if we set some aside from each supply run until then, we might have enough to have something nice for each other to eat and give thanks for. It's not really like the American tradition, but like... I don't know, I had fun with this last year with my friends, and I thought it might be nice? Something to look forward to!

We'd need people who can cook, or those who can set up tables, or do dishes, and clean up, and those on supply runs to see if they can handle bringing in a bit extra when they go out.

Anyone else feel up for this?

I see, so America has its own foundation myths much like Japan does. Though I suppose theirs have more of truth to them, being as they were founded within the realm of recorded history, at least as they exist now.

It is somewhat strange to include the natives in this legend, considering how completely Americans ended up eradicating their culture from the country. Perhaps if I have access to the library on the Earth, I will make time to research American myths. I know a lot more about South American myths...

American myths are pretty strange! I mean, you get Paul Bunyon, then you get Thanksgiving. I think it's weird, too... but you don't get so much about how what they did was wrong until later on in school, and even then, it's kind of detached. People being colonized don't do well under those colonists, not usually.

( Thinking of India, and how India does better once out from under the particulars of the yokes people tried to keep Inida under for decades. )

Ah, no. I had been avoiding the AI, because I felt it would take too much energy to communicate with it while simultaneously trying to decode its consciousness.

I suppose that's a bit rude, though. Perhaps I'll just attempt to befriend them.

Though yeah, saying hello is probably nice! If it's your friend, then it'll probably help you out or maybe find challenges for you to take on!

I don't know if I can, I've never paid much attention to Artificial Intelligences... Though I know that they do exist. I can tell much about how a human thinks from interacting with them, though. I'm sure an AI would be very similar.

Do you know what the best way to contact it is?

I suppose. I was raised in a scientific facility, surrounded by scientists, so that is a reasonable result of that upbringing.
