[Feel lucky, Elliot's roommates. He's finally taking his complaining to the full network! =D
He's standing in one of the rooms, specifically his, but he doubts anyone can tell.]
I've had as much of this nonsense as I can stand! How are these ever supposed to be livable conditions?! The last place was bad enough, but I doubt any amount of possible improvements could ever make this place even come close to that! YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE REAL BEDS HERE!
[To make his point, he turns to focus on the shot on one of the bunk beds before going back to himself.]
Is there even a point in trying to do anything with this place?! The Initiative has made it more than obvious that their response to a real problem is to run like cowards!

When are you going to stop whining about the beds? [Yes, he's addressing the stupid concern first.]

A-and we've just gotta stay here for a while, not forever! Just until we fix everything again!
voice;
How are we supposed to fix it?! Nothing will change the fact that countless people were left to die while The Initiative ran away! We'll always know it happened!

this had worked out smoothly for the most part, especially in the current living conditions - nobody was bothering him and vice versa. until he checks out elliot's post anyway. the guy is loud, which causes him to grimace and start for the volume adjustment - this isn't accomplished before the flat-out yelling about the beds comes into play and neku groans with physical recoil. jerking his headphones off and not deigning to finish the video, he shoots back a disgruntled audio reply. ]
-- Ugh, you don't gotta yell into it, geez—

... And the beds are the last thing wrong with this place.
[ really, elliot?? ]

Does it matter how livable it is, if you're alive and liable to stay that way? Does your bed matter? If you can sleep in it, I think it counts just fine.
[He frowns, looking serious.] The Initiative's not really in control here, and you know it. We are. The only way we fail is if we run like cowards. [He has nothing to say about the Initiative, pointedly.]
video;
If your being alive is just because of an act of cowardice and trying to ignore things you're responsible for, then yes, the conditions do matter! Especially for anyone you dragged into the mess with you!
[video]
I can't stand these beds either, but there are better things to complain about. You're doing it wrong!
[video]
It may not be the worst thing they've done, but proper rest is important if they want us to be able to cover up their mess!

Oh? Then do you have personal experience in attacks like these? I'd love to hear about it.
[He doubts Elliot will actually have an answer for him. Really...he reminded him a little bit of Beat. Except he actually knows how to speak.
At least Elliot's got that much going for him.]

Well, I think it all depends on what you do with it. It's not the comfiest of beds but it's not the worst. I like sleeping with my sweater since it helps with lack of a real mattress, and Fondue makes a good pillow.
[The view shifts to Raphael's own bed, which looks thoroughly worn. By Fondue really. No noticeable shedding though since he's a short hair. Okay, back to ginger boy.]
Since you've already been getting this a lot, you already know that you all couldn't have just stayed there and I don't think the Initiative would've let their last hopes disappear like that. Was it really so bad back there? The moon base is all I've experienced.
video
Just ignore his poor kitty wandering around the tiny room. Since she only followed him home. And then to the moon.]If you're using clothing as a mattress and a dog for a pillow, I think that proves my point!
Before we came here, it was one of the worst places I've seen! The housing arrangements there were more livable than this mess.
[Him being from a rich family is just a moot point here...]

[A pause.] You don't understand the meaning of a tactical retreat? We knew where we were going to be hit, it couldn't be avoided. The smart thing to do was to make sure we weren't there to receive it.
voice;
Generally tactical retreats don't include letting people die and then trying to do things so you can pretend it never happened!
