( there's a slight sound of rustling after the feed clicks on, as oz makes himself more comfortable on a seat in the observatory. why he's there late at night — night by circadian rhythms, anyway, simulated nights on the moon — is anyone's guess, or maybe it's obvious enough. in any case, when he speaks up a moment later, he sounds to be in a good enough mood. )

What's your favorite story? Scary ones are probably best for late at night, but what I really want to hear about are everyone's favorites. For instance, something about a princess and a dragon, or maybe a mystery with a twist ending, or something out of history....ah, if you make it up or adapt it from a book, that's fine too! Or even if it's a real one that's happened to someone you know, ( and a light laugh ) — don't worry, I don't tell anyone!

But it's rude to ask without giving my own preference, right? I can start with mine, if anyone wants.

No? As a home-grown American I believe this is the moment where my nationalism wrests control of my senses and forces me to extoll the virtues of my now-obliterated country - or it would if I had enough of a heart left for such emotions to make an appeal.

As it is I'd still recommend looking into the subjects if you're so inclined; the Puritans in specific are a wonderful example of what happens when one establishes a community based on hypocrisy and extreme narrow-mindedness.

You should keep it in mind if you ever need another midnight tale and find the network lacking. There's certainly enough ridiculousness in it to keep you preoccupied.

It shouldn't be difficult to locate considering publishers' penchant for plastering the cover with a large red A. If you ever go searching for it I'm afraid I'd be no help, as I'd be preoccupied with other sections of whatever literary bastion we'd invade.

Psychological horror and anything detailing the inner workings of the mind, mostly. I'm one of those unfortunate beings who enjoys collecting knowledge for knowledge's sake, however, and thus am willing to delve into nearly anything regardless of genre.

I agree!! Every kind of story is fun, of course, but adventures are really the best.

Every fresh novel is something of an adventure to the eager reader, wouldn't you say?

Or poetic enough that we're content to leave it be. The distinction becomes a bit difficult to ascertain as you climb up the rungs of pretentiousness.
