I'm guessing this is probably the first time a bunch of you have ever traveled through space. Not as special as you would've thought, right?

Maybe in another couple hundred years we'll actually have a ship that can make it to another planet.

What kinda difficulties does getting to space require for your world?

It's not really "difficult". You just need a ship that won't fall apart and someone to pilot it, or a crew.

You know that halfway doesn't really mean anything.

Actually, I'd say it means quite a lot. Once the fundamental theories are down and the most basic resources together, all that's left is logistics - and those are a lot easier.

For most of us, the idea of setting foot on another world is absolutely amazing, when you take it in the abstract.

Actually, it's still pretty cool, if you can separate it from the whole "closest-we-have-to-a-home-got-torched" issue. The geology, the technology used in the base...

It's amazing stuff!

It's really pretty amazing, still. We were able to get a ship up and down from the moon... How many times in just ten days?

I mean, all that's involved there... Plus the life support on a stationary base! That's very different from what you can do on a starship.

Now all we have to do is survive and hope that the food and life support last long enough.

Really, if we build this place out and get more resources together, we can expand the base and create a better platform for fighting the United once we've fixed Exsilium proper.
