[It's Kili's first time really using audio instead of video. He doesn't want anyone to see him right now.]

Thorin's gone. He hasn't come back for days and I can't find his name on the network anymore. [His voice shakes slightly and he clears his throat. When he speaks next, his tone is cold. Detached. He has no uncle to care for him now, after all. He needs to prove he can do this on his own.]

If he had any business with any of you, let me know and I will do my best to make sure his part is fulfilled.

[He smiles brightly.] You never could, Bri.

Hm, never have I heard my name shortened before.

[Not that she's complaining. It's actually pretty cute.]

[Kili blushes slightly, embarrassed.] ...I shortened my brother's name too. I guess it just makes me feel better to have someone to call by a name I gave them.

I think that I like it. It's different but nice, especially coming from a friend.

[Kili smiles.] Bri it is. [He hands her the sword back.]

[She takes it, still unused to the weight of it in comparison to the sward Galadriel had been teaching her with. Carefully, she sets it to the side of her bed.]

I never thought I would have such a sword.

[kilimanjaro]

You'll get used to it. I'll help. [The grief has vanished completely from his face. Instead there's a brightness there in his eyes.]

[Yay! No more grief!]

I've no doubt of that and I'm glad to have you so eager to help but I'm thinking more of a dwarven sword specifically. I remember seeing the dwarves of Moria in Eregion, selling their crafts and trading with us.

[Kili smiles slightly.] Can you tell me what it was like?

About Eregion? I can tell you anything you like about it.

About...trading with my people. [Kili leans back against the bed, watching her.]

Hm, they were fair dealings and always ended with friendly words. Our craft for theirs or coin. We were good friends, those in Moria and those of us in Eregion. My mother and I were even permitted to pass through Moria to Lothlorien.

[Kili's eyes widen.] You've been to Khazad-dum?

[ladyofrivendell]

[The widening of his eyes, it makes her giggles softly.]

Oh yes, is that so surprising?

I've only heard stories. [His tone is envious.] And in my time it's been overrun with orcs.

[ladyofrivendell]

Orcs?

[She looks absolutely appalled at the thought. Even a little bit disgusted.]

Then I shall have to paint what I recall of it for you.

[Kili's eyes light up at that.] I would love that.

[ladyofrivendell]

I thought that you might! It shall be one of my loveliest pieces~

[As lovely as Imladris and of the portrait she made of Celeborn for her mother.]

[Kili smiles and touches Celebrian's knee lightly.] Thank you, Bri.

[Kili yawns and sprawls out on the bed, resting his head on Celebrian's lap.]

[Kili, you are so absolutely precious. She'll just gently run her hands through his hair and hum softly.]
