[It's been a while since Kili's shown his face in public, and as the feed starts, it becomes apparent as to why. The young dwarf is terribly pale, a gleam of sweat shining on his brow and dark shadows beneath bloodshot eyes. He's been ill, very much so, and it's only really now that he's become conscious enough to speak.

Some words are difficult to understand as his voice is mostly gone, and what is understandable is spoken in a rough, croaky tone.]

I will pay for someone to bring me food, and ale if possible. I have coin or I can pay you back in fresh game, once I-- [He's interrupted by a harsh cough.] Once I can hunt again.

[He's half tempted to ask for a healer. He may be getting better, but he still feels awful. His pride rebels against the idea. He's a dwarf, he's strong. He can handle this on his own. It's difficult enough to admit he's too weak to fetch himself food.]

If I could get that soon.

...Could...could you come visit? [His expression is sheepish but hopeful.] Thorin's out somewhere.

Oh! Just a floor beneath my own.

[So five minutes then. Not even.]

I'll see you soon, then. [He smiles a bit shyly.]

[She nods and gives him a smile before flicking her tablet off. Not even five minutes later, there's a light knock at his door.]

[Kili settles back to wait, and is pleasantly surprised at how quickly she arrives. Calling out a croaky 'come in', he hopes that she can hear him. He's been strictly forbidden to get out of bed, after all.]

[She does, thank Iluvatar for sharp elven hearing. Letting herself in, she seeks out Kili and immediately goes to his side when she does.]

How are you feeling?

[He brightens visibly to see her, though he looks even worse in person than he does over the tablet. Propping himself up with his pillows, he does his best to sit up more and look a bit presentable for her.]

Like death. [Kili admits it with a soft laugh, which turns into a cough.] But I'm awake.

[She slides onto the bed and sits beside him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. It's a bit strange for her, since her kids never got sick and never will, but she still has that intuition.]

You are awake and sitting up, it is better than nothing at all. What can I do to help?

[He likes the closeness, and instinctively Kili leans in against her, letting out a soft sigh. His eyes close briefly before opening again.]

I just wanted to see you.

[That's fine, she'll hold onto him and brush a hand across his brow to feel how warm he is.]

I'm glad for that, I've missed your company.

[His forehead is warm and damp with sweat. Her hand feels cool against overheated skin and he can't help but make a small sound of contentment at that.]

I shouldn't be so pleased as I am to hear that.

[She frowns a bit at that, half tempted to get up and find a cool and damp cloth to put over his head. Celebrian stays there though, for the time being. Sitting with him, she can keep a good eye on him and keep tabs on if he gets worse or not.]

Perhaps not but that's alright.

[Kili's quiet for a moment, resting against her. Thorin's great, but Celebrian's better company most of the time.]

Did Thorin tell no one of my illness?

He may have told some but I was not one of them.

[Which is concerning, since she's a Healer. One nearly as skilled as Elrond and Galadriel in fact, since she has never killed anyone. Celebrian was loath to harm anyone.]

I wish that he had, I could have helped much sooner.

I wish he had too. [Kili's voice is soft.] ...I thought I was dying.

[Dying. Funny he should mention that. It only reminds her of the sword sitting in her own apartment, a gift since her mother started teaching her how to wield a blade again.]

You will be well again, I promise. And even if you were to die... you would still be well. The people that brought us here can resurrect us.

[Kili shudders slightly at that.] Strong magic.

[Her arm tightens, just slightly, around his shoulder in comfort.]

Very strong. I would keep you safe from that experience if I could.

[But Kili's a strong young dwarf and she knows by now that he's more a warrior than anything. Just like her boys.]

[He slides in a little closer to her, arms going around her neck loosely. Kili rests his forehead on her shoulder, closing his eyes.]

I'm...glad you're here.

[Aww, Kili! Holding onto him, Celebrian lightly brushes a hand through his hair.]

As I am. There's is good I can do here and I've made a wonderful friend in you.

[He chuckles softly at that and nods, closing his eyes. He's quiet for a bit again, before a harsh cough shakes him and he pulls away from Celebrian for a moment.]

[She gently pushes him back into the pillows, fluffing them slightly so he can sit comfortably.]

I'll make you some tea. It will help the cough and the fever.

[He sinks back against them, nodding. He really does feel awful, though it's good to see Celebrian.]

Tea? [Kili pulls a face.] Oin's always tastes awful.

[There's a laugh from her and she shakes her head.]

I promise that I'll make it taste as best as I can. I've always been good with teas and cakes.

[Kili still looks a bit doubtful.] Well...I trust you.

[A quick fond kiss to the top of his head.]

Good, I should hope that you'd trust a Healer and friend. I'll not be long, just the tea for now.
