[It's been a while since Kili's shown his face in public, and as the feed starts, it becomes apparent as to why. The young dwarf is terribly pale, a gleam of sweat shining on his brow and dark shadows beneath bloodshot eyes. He's been ill, very much so, and it's only really now that he's become conscious enough to speak.

Some words are difficult to understand as his voice is mostly gone, and what is understandable is spoken in a rough, croaky tone.]

I will pay for someone to bring me food, and ale if possible. I have coin or I can pay you back in fresh game, once I-- [He's interrupted by a harsh cough.] Once I can hunt again.

[He's half tempted to ask for a healer. He may be getting better, but he still feels awful. His pride rebels against the idea. He's a dwarf, he's strong. He can handle this on his own. It's difficult enough to admit he's too weak to fetch himself food.]

If I could get that soon.

...Could...could you come visit? [His expression is sheepish but hopeful.] Thorin's out somewhere.

Then I will stay.

[She says this softly and goes back to humming, staying close to him all the while. If Thorin comes back... well, they'll handle that.]

[Kili sighs and shifts, getting comfortable against Celebrian. It isn't the first time he's slept at her side, after all. That first week here, he'd spent more than one night in her apartment, head in her lap as he slept.

It doesn't take long before he's asleep, skin still burning with fever as he snores softly.]

[And he's always welcome to come and stay with her again if he ever wants to. For now though, he just needs to get better.

While he sleeps she stays right there, barely moving and humming softly the entire time. Sometimes her humming turns into soft elvish words with the tune. She doesn't even sneak off to get a cool cloth for his head.]

[Kili sleeps for several hours, kept that way by the elf's soft singing and humming. There's no bad dreams, nor dreams at all, really. By the time he stirs, he feels much better indeed.]

[She's back to humming by then. A lot of elven songs are sad or bittersweet and she doesn't want to repeat what she's already sung for him.]

Sleep well?

[Kili yawns, stretching out a bit and nodding. He's sweating even more than he was before, but for now he'll ignore it.] Mmhmm.

Good. And as you'll see, I haven't left.

[Teasing softly before lightly brushing her hand over his brow.]

I should have checked what medicines the other Healers have before coming over. You still feel as though with fever.

[He gives her a sleepy sort of smile in response, clearly pleased, and yawns again. He's always taken a bit longer to wake up.]

I'm too hot. [Unsurprising, as he's nearly soaked through with sweat.]

We should find lighter clothes for you to sleep in. And you should drink some cool water.

[Brushing a hand through his hair and slowly getting up.]

No one's brought me ale like I asked. [He shifts to let her get up, but oh yes, Kili's whining.]

[Kili plz.]

Water first. And something light to eat, I think. Ale won't help your fever.

[He's a kid still, remember?

...An alcoholic kid. Whatever.]

But I like it better than water.

[Oh, she remembers. Especially compared to her, being a few thousand years old and all.]

Yes, but water is better for you when you're ill.

[Kili just looks at her balefully.] I don't want water.

[Kili. No.]

It will help.

[She smiles but, if he looks to her eyes, she has a sly look.] And if you let me help you get better, I will gladly pay for your ale when you are well again.

[Oh. Well. That's an offer he can't really refuse.]

...Fine, if you promise.

[She didn't think he would.]

You have my word.

Good. [He yawns again and kicks his blankets off. Too hot.]

[She steps away, watching him with a faint smile now, before going to get a large glass of water and wets a piece of cloth with cool water. Coming back, she sits on the edge of his bed again and offers him the glass.]

I should cook something for you while I'm here.

[He takes the glass, and despite his previous reluctance, drains it in a few gulps. Okay, so maybe he was more thirsty than he thought, and the cold water tastes good, refreshing and crisp.]

I wouldn't say no.

[See? It's good to listen to Celebrian sometimes. She knows what she's doing, even if elves don't get sick.]

I'll start a stew then, enough for yourself and Thorin if he'd care for some when he returns.

[Taking the glass.]

Would you like more water as well?

[He shifts where he's lying, fluffing up his pillows a bit to get more comfortable.]

Aye. Please.

Alright. I won't be long.

[She leaves the cloth with him for his head and goes, listening in case he needs her. The she-elf starts an easy stew, something light with the proper herbs and spices before getting him another glass of water and returning.]

[The cloth feels nice on overheated skin and Kili sighs, tugging off his tunic and dropping it over the side of the bed. He's too hot still, sweating profusely. The water he drinks more slowly this time, savoring the coldness of it.]

I'm tired of being ill.

I don't doubt it. I imagine it an awful feeling.

[She would assume it's different from how sick she felt when she had been pregnant. It's hard to know. Same she hasn't the psychic ability of mother to try to get an idea.]

I'm sure you'll be well soon. And I can come each day until you are, if you'd like.
