[When Jaime turns the tablet on, he's standing in front of the cinema that a couple of the other Transports had constructed, visible hand propped up on a broomstick. The area is still scattered with debris and dust after the bombings, but it's clear that he's at least made the rudimentary attempts at cleaning a path to the miraculously intact structure. He gives the camera a little wave.]

Hey! So, it's come to my attention that some people around here have never seen a movie before even though we've got a theatre right here. I'm thinking we're totally past due for a movie night, and it just so happens that I found a copy of E.T. in one of the databases. This place still needs to be cleaned up a bit, but I think I can have it ready by let's sayyyy Saturday, 7 PM. Everyone's welcome to come on down.

Or at least you are as long as you bring snacks.

[He grins at the camera. He's joking, honest. Mostly. Mostly joking. A movie's not a movie without snacks.]

If anyone here asks me to mow their lawn, I'l going to shoot them.

You're in luck - we've got a total lawn deficit going on here. Most they'll ask you to do is sweep the pavement.

And the most they'll get in return is harsh language.

These missions they put us on, do they usually have a point, or is rock hunting the norm?

Rock hunting's probably pretty tame, as far as I can tell... but since I've been here, it's mostly been damage control. There was a mission to - [he pauses for a moment, tongue tied at what he can possibly say to describe the annihilation of a world] - to stop a world war, but after that there's been sickness, bombs, and rebuilding. The rock hunting thing was my first mandatory mission I've been on. They had to make sure people can at least live on the homefront before getting back out there is my best guess.

So the choice is between menial labor for some unknown end, or risking our lives and sanity in a warzone.

Sounds like you guys have been having a rough time of it. How are you holding up?

That's pretty much it, yeah. [He sounds a little morose as he says it, but that's more about the situation in general than his own, personal situation - more than one person has asked after his welfare (because he's a teenager, he supposes), but his answer is always the same.]

I do all right. I've gotten pretty lucky.

[She's about to say some very unkind things, then remembers there's a kid on the line. She considers switching to Spanish, but decides to just settle for exhaling with all the venom of someone clubbing a baby seal]

Can't be that lucky, you're here, but I'm glad you've managed to stay out of trouble. If it manages to find you though, let me know, okay?
