[When Jaime turns the tablet on, he's standing in front of the cinema that a couple of the other Transports had constructed, visible hand propped up on a broomstick. The area is still scattered with debris and dust after the bombings, but it's clear that he's at least made the rudimentary attempts at cleaning a path to the miraculously intact structure. He gives the camera a little wave.]

Hey! So, it's come to my attention that some people around here have never seen a movie before even though we've got a theatre right here. I'm thinking we're totally past due for a movie night, and it just so happens that I found a copy of E.T. in one of the databases. This place still needs to be cleaned up a bit, but I think I can have it ready by let's sayyyy Saturday, 7 PM. Everyone's welcome to come on down.

Or at least you are as long as you bring snacks.

[He grins at the camera. He's joking, honest. Mostly. Mostly joking. A movie's not a movie without snacks.]

[So maybe they'd left the place a bit dusty here and there. That didn't mean they'd abandoned the whole shebang! Charlie's frown is still entrenched, but he continues on somewhat grudgingly. What the hell, if the kid wants to sweep up so badly--]

Just make sure you clean up the place when you and your friends're finished with it, yeah? I'd better not stroll in there and find anything stuck to the floor that wasn't there to begin with. [Because he totally has a running tally of that...?]

I think this place'll be better off once we're done with it than the way it is now. But yeah, of course I'll make sure it's cleaned up after. So you're the owner of this place...?

['Owner' isn't really the right word for taking over an abandoned building without asking for permission and renovating it, but sure. What the hell.]

What were you planning on doing with it, anyway? Just make some extra cash or what?

That's the long and the short of it, sure. [Not that it's terribly lucrative, with the rock bottom admission Collette and Billy had insisted on.]

Mostly it's just something to break up the whole 'ooh, future war!' [--underscored by wriggly hand motions--] monotony.

That's pretty much what I was looking for. All these movie files don't mean much if you can only watch them on your tablet. Maybe you can open up the place again after this?

[Charlie makes a low noise, mouth pursed.] I'll look into it. [Which is about as much as Jaime's likely to get.] Christ knows you lot need a proper education in film.

[It's not much, but Jaime looks rather pleased nonetheless.] Yeah? And what sort of films count as a proper education to you?

Anything Hitchcock? Chinatown? The Godfather at least. Cool Hand Luke: absolutely. And Metropolis, but it'd be a shame to watch it without live accompaniment. [He ticks them off one by one on his fingers.]

Looks like you've got the next half a year of movie nights down. What's the live accompaniment for Metropolis?

It's a silent movie. You need an orchestra or at least a recording of one to go along with it.

[Honestly. Kids these days.]

Oh. I've never heard of it, I just figured it was a movie about, you know, Metropolis. Maybe Superman or something. [He shrugs.]

[Which earns the world's most blank look. Superman? Really?] Alright, so moving up Metropolis in the lineup then.

[Hey man, it's a totally legitimate theory!]

Okay, okay! [He holds up his hands in faux-defensiveness.] I'll be there for that, then.

[Charlie gives Jaime a curt nod, apparently satisfied.] Yeah alright then. I'll pop in and see how thing go if you don't mind. [Read: make sure you hooligans aren't wrecking the joint. The tone of his voice makes it very clear that he doesn't really care whether Jaime minds or not.

And also he might be in the mood for a bit of E.T. as well.]

'Course I don't. I did say everyone's invited.

[He has to flash the guy a quick grin at that. He can't help but be a little reminded of Peacemaker by this guy - call it the mixture of the intent to ostensibly educate people while still acting more than a little affronted by it.]

Good. [Which is apparently as satisfied as Charlie is going to get. With a brief nod, the feed abruptly disconnects.]
