LOG IN: #01 ( audio. )
[ Em doesn't very much enjoy talking or, in general, socializing. Not that she's anti social, it's just that she is very shy and social situations get her anxious and apprensive and she never really knows what to say. She's a quiet person outside her group of friends and she prefers a book to going out, but this time, it's clearly a very different situation she has found herself in. Her voice is quivering, a extremely faint French accent slipping in some syllables and words, but far from the cartoonish exaggeration that the French tend to speak English in. ]
This is a mistake. [ A long pause to suck in some air into her lungs, a shiver audible through her breathing. ] I cannot be here. Not alone-- not without them. Please, my children. I-- I can't leave them with him. Don't do this, please, someone. Take me back. They're alone with him.
[ There is a longer pause now, where she's just breathing. There's a sound which makes it look like she's slumping down on the floor or leaning back, and her voice comes a little muffled as she keeps herself together, possibly a hand over her mouth. ]
You can't do this to them.

I'm, I don't know. Outside the-- thing. [ Where she came from. u know. the thing. ] I just got here, I haven't moved. [ A subtle tone underneath it, a please, hurry, I don't want to be alone in this bizarre place. ]

And so sitting on the floor she will be, fidgeting with the communicator in her handcuffed hands. She's a little bit more different than the Em Poppy might be used to. More worn out, skinnier, hair in disarray, a little longer than normal.
Might be a different Em. ]

Emilia! Oh, I'm sorry I took so long. [She crouches, both hands reaching for her arms without quite touching, frowning at the handcuffs. It's plain to see that the other woman is in no good state - that only worries her more.] What happened?

Poppy arrives in a fashion this Em is not used to see; cleaner, looking very healthy, but maybe a little less attentive, alert (you have to be alert like a prey in her world). Her clothes too, much prettier than usual as comfort always triumphs fashion back home, especially since nothing good comes from impractical wear. Nevertheless, it is Poppy and a familiar face in a foreign place is more comforting than warm tea in a cold night. ]
It's fine. [ She says in that light French accent of hers. ] it's so good to see you. How are you? Freddy? Gemma? Are they with you?

I don't -- no. No, please, I want to see her. [ She struggles to her feet and holds her hand in hers, squeezing it lightly but with undeniable longing. There's a sadness in her eyes that almost translates to tears. ] I need to see her, if she's okay, if -- I have to see her, Poppy. I've been locked up, they told me she had gone full monster and I didn't believe them. Please , Poppy. I have to.

I don't--I don't understand. Emilia - what happened?

Taking a deep breath, Em brings her bound hands to her face and rubs it, letting them slowly drop away. ]
I was taken by a cult full of sulfur slaves and humans that had this... insane idea that Chloe and Matty were part of some-- some great prophecy about how they would save humankind. And they took us, but Jules... [ Her lip quivers, though she bites down on it to stop the trembling. She swallows in dry and shakes her head, shoulders slumping in defeat. ] I don't know what they did to her. [ But she's here now and her stomach turns with anxiety. ] Please, Poppy. I haven't heard from her in months

But questioning her right now wouldn't do any good, would it. Poppy lifts a finger to ask her to wait]
I can promise you that Julia is completely safe, Emilia. She's all right. Can you give me just a moment? I'll be very quick, I just need to call someone first.

[ For the time being, that information is sufficient, even if barely. She nods, fidgeting slightly, fingers brushing at her fringe, a habit she has when either nervous or anxious. ]
Yes, of course.

Turns away to yell at Jules again]
