[The image first shows an open book lying on a table. It seems to be open at the very back, though looking at the page on the left would show that it's full of text so it obviously was supposed to continue where the cover now is. Closer observation would show that several pages after that one were apparently ripped out.

It stays on this image for several moments, or at least what the person showing it thinks is long enough for said observations to be made. Finally, the screen does a very quick 180 to show a livid Elliot.

WHO IS THE CRIMINAL RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?!

Library books are the property of EVERYONE WHO USES THAT LIBRARY! YOU CAN'T JUST TEAR OUT PAGES WHEREVER YOU SEE FIT! IT'S COMMON COURTESY!

ESPECIALLY NOT IN THE FINAL BOOK OF ONE OF THE GREATEST SERIES EVER WRITTEN!!!

Hmm. Maybe somewhere in our online archives? Is it fiction? I haven't perused the fiction section much yet... [He starts tapping at the screen to see if he can find it.]

Hard copies of books are hard enough to find around here. I can't believe someone would be so destructive with one. Is there any record of who had the book checked out last? Ah-- [pokepoke at the tablet] There's a lot of things under that title. We are looking at a rather large library, but you may just find the one you're looking for here.

It's in the intranet archives. It might do you some good to research what's on the tablets.

[Elliot gets a text link to the general search Al was looking at. Hopefully what he was looking for is in there.]

You should be able to just download the text after selecting the title. Isn't it great? For how destroyed things are around here, I was pleasantly surprised to find we had quite an extensive library.

It does. Welcome to the the digital world, where things like this are possible. They may have lost track of hard copies, but there seems to be a very extensive digital collection.
