Is anyone really good at finding missing things? Or people? I'm losing a little of my mind over here, but that's not what I need found!

Hey, originally it was three layers! I taste tested. It's totally okay. Besides, I think Bertie would have leapt right in if he saw me messing up in a big way. No egg shells, no weird lumps, just um... really weird overall shape!

Bertie's my roommate, yep. Also the bigger chef for all this, but that's a good thing, trust me. Not that I can't cook, but fancy is a ways off yet.

( Unapologetic about it, and pleased, actually -- she darn well can cook at all, and that is amazing! For his concern, she waves it off iwth a hand, handing him over the small plate that was in front of her. )

Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, trust me. I just look bad for longer than most people. Which is totally the way to flatter a girl, you know.

That's what I'm good at. Flattering girls. [It's said in good humour, but whatever self-deprecation that's in there is honest at the very least - he managed to woo his own kinda-sorta-maybe girlfriend by stammering and inadvertently proclaiming his desire to become a dentist, after all.
