Um- hello! My name is Cheria Barnes, and I've been here for a few months now. I'd meant to do this sooner, but with everything that's happened... Well, it seems like as best a time as any now.

Back home on Ephinea I lead a relief organization to help with the aftereffects of war. We ran food drives, helped with building repairs, gave first aid-- pretty much anything people needed of us that we could help with, you know?

So... I was thinking that I could start something like that up here too. For people that can't fight but still want to help. I thought it would probably be a good way to get the people here to trust us again too... Anyway, if you'd be interested, please let me know!

[Emil scratches his head, suddenly feeling a little nervous.]

I'm sorry to bother you, but I saw what you said on the-- [what was it?] tablets. I can't do much right now, but when I get things sorted out...I'd like to help.

Huh? Oh, it's no bother at all!

[She smiles.]

You really want to help? Thanks! Oh- I don't think we were properly introduced yet. I'm Cheria.

[Well, that's good. Emil smiles back.]

And I'm Emil. It's nice to meet you, Cheria. Thank you for letting me stay right now. So...is there anything you have to do to get started?

Of course! Any friend of Kaneis' is a friend of mine too.

[She steps aside to let him inside so they aren't just awkwardly standing in the doorway.]

I need to gather some supplies first, so that we have ingredients for food drives, and stuff to build with... And they probably need lumber to help rebuild what was destroyed in the bombings last month. There's plenty of collecting to do before we can really help with anything.

Collecting...well, I can definitely help with that. If you give me some things to look for, I can get started the next time I go out.

[Which might be a while, maybe, but who knows?]

[She crosses the room to look down at a list of things she'd jotted down.]

There's a lot of medical supplies that are left in the wreckage at the hospital. We should try to salvage what we can. We need stuff for rebuilding. Hammers, nails... I know the natives aren't too happy with us, so it'll be hard to barter with them, but hopefully since it's to rebuild they're home they'll agree to help us.

[Bartering, maybe not such a good idea. He can get along with the people of Luin now, but talking to angry natives is still not one of his strong points.]

[Cheria won't hold it against him. It's hard trying to approach people that openly dislike you.

She nods, setting her paper down.]

Okay! That'll be a big help. Once that's done, I'll find something else for you to do, if you want.

That sounds good. I won't be able to start right away, but...well, there's something that I have to do first.

[Otherwise, uh. Awkward. (Not like it won't be already.)]

That's alright. It's volunteer work, so start whenever it's good for you, okay? I don't want to push anyone to do something if they're busy with something else.
