[A rare video feed from Kaneis comes on, partly because one of his roommates had to turn on the tablet. It becomes quickly apparently why- it seems his hands and locks of his hair are tangled up with strips of brightly colored leopard print duct tape. Someone attempted to do home repairs when they knew absolutely nothing about home repair. The background shows one giant hole in the wall about six inches in diameter, just to give you an idea. Allen is next to him, trying to get some of the duct tape off]

Okay okay- I'll ask! Just get me outta this stuff!

[He gives a huff and looks at the camera. He looks rather disgruntled]

Say, does anyone out there know where a person can get a couch? Ours kinda...got wrecked the other day and we can't fix it.

Oh and, stuff to seal up holes in the wall? That'd be good too.

I don't doubt it, not for a second. He was scaling the whole building with just his hands! He was even holding the basket, too--I live on the eighth floor!

I'd say it depends no where you're getting it, but there is something especially sweet and charming about something someone makes for you, personally. And something lovely when they like it, too. I like making things myself, and there are few higher compliments than when someone likes what comes of it.

He didn't want the plants in my window box to be ignored. [SHE SHRUGS, SHE DON'T KNOW EITHER, MAN.] The funny thing about that was that they were glad to see him. It was still very strange, though.

[A slight, knowing, curious grin. Oh, she's heard something like that, before.]

Well one eats an insane amount! I don't want to calculate how many hours I've spent in the kitchen since getting here!

[She wouldn't expect anything different tbh. She won't point out that it's not exactly his responsibility to do so, she just smiles.]

Not when you pick fruit, no. Fruit exists to spread seeds, and it's most often purposefully appetizing to attract people and animals to it. There's actually a really interesting symbiotic relationship between it and the things and people that eat them. Really, you'd just be doing your part, so pick away! And, I'm sure there are other things that they appreciate about you too, even if it's as obvious. Food is hard to compete with.

They're like requests, or better yet someone giving you something in advance for favours. Like an apple paying you to spread as many seeds as you can for it.
