♈ Aradia: Finally get around to showing your face. [video]

[The video feed opens on an alien teenager who some of you may never have seen before, dressed all in red and grinning widely. Most notably, though, she is wearing two eye patches, one over each eye. She gets right down to business.]

Is this working? Yes? It beeped, so I think so. Okay.

People of the internet, I have a quick question. [She points to the eyepatches.] On a scale of one to ten, how silly do these look?

[... yeah, sure, this silliness has gone on for quite long enough.] Why not indeed?

[she goes to take off the eyepatches, revealing the still-irritated eyes underneath. one comes off without a fight, but the other gets snagged on her horn and escapes from her hand, so it's just... hanging there by its cord. she feels around for it briefly, but can't seem to find it.]

Oh, shoot. I dropped it.

Whoops! ...Aradia are you home right now?

[ Yeah Feferi is just going to come find Aradia in her respiteblock or wherever and talk to her in person. She invites herself in but knocks on the door frame to let Aradia know she's there. ]

Hey Aradia!

[Aradia's head perks up, though she doesn't quite turn far enough to be looking at her friend.]

Hey, what's up?

[fintastic]

I brought some goggles for you! And I brought a hair brush.

[ Feferi seats herself behind Aradia, trying to make as much noise as possible. ]

Sit still for a second, I will put them on you!

[psych0p0mps]

[Aradia laughs a bit.] Come on, Feferi, I know how to put on goggles. [But she does straighten up and pull her hair back for easy access. The noise isn't really necessary once she is on the sleep square, since it is nice and bouncy.] My hair's not that messy, is it?

[fintastic]

Not really, but I thought it would be nice!

[ And pointedly, Feferi plucks the stray eyepatch from Aradia's horn and places it into Aradia's lap. ]

Here you go. Now let's see...

[ Then in a few well-practiced motions, Feferi reaches around to put the goggles to Aradia's eyes, pulls the strap underneath her hair and around her neck, and snaps it in on the other sides. Voila! Aradia is now a begoggled beauty. Feferi is proud of herself! ]

Oh, so that's where it went. [She sets the eyepatch aside with the other one, probably never to be found again. Then she'll just let Feferi put the goggles on her, and turn so Feferi can get a good look at her handiwork.]

How do I look?

[fintastic]

[ Feferi claps excitedly, delighted with this new look. ]

You look shrimply fabulous! Much better than the eye patches.

[Snerk, "shrimply." She has actually not heard that one before, even from Meenah!]

Well, thank you! And I'm sure they'll come in handy the next time we need to swim to the store.

[You know, since it's. always raining.]

It could happen! Let me see your hair?

[ She has brush in hand, and she's gotten herself nice and comfortable on the bed. ]

[psych0p0mps]

Okay, okay. [She sweeps her hair back over her shoulders and shakes her head to make sure it's all back there.] Knock yourself out.

[fintastic]

[ She sets in on brushing Aradia's hair at a leisurely pace, with all the sensitivity of someone who really understands having that much hair. ]

So are you starting to feel better? I really think you should go to the hospital if it doesn't clear up soon.

[Ooh dat feels surprisingly nice. |3 ]

I think it's starting to. I can kind of see lights again. Granted it's all kind of blobby, but I can tell which direction the window is at least.

[fintastic]

[ She really missed brushing someone's hair. It's a lot nicer with someone who is actually willing, too. ]

As long as you keep getting better than I guess it is okay! I really want to be able to show you around Exsilium though.

Mostly it sounds like rain all the time. Rain and people.

Haha, sounds boring. I think I'll just hold out for the sights.

[Aradia turns her head slightly, although not enough to interfere with the brushy brushy. That topic sorta came out of nowhere!]

What do you mean?

I don't know. Have you been getting caught up? Getting to know each other again?

Oh! Yeah, kind of. I mean, it's not like we stopped knowing each other. I think it's more we're getting used to each other again.
